Rating: Summary: A Walk For Sunshine Review: I loved the book! I Acually couldn't put it down! I read it in aday, I'd have to say that was a first. It usually takes me a good month to read a book. I've read "A Walk In The Woods" and I would have to say that "A Walk For Sunshine" left it in the dust. Jeffs story sucks you and lets you experience the trail in detail, section by section. I give praise to Jeff Alt for following his dreams and making wakes for a great cause.

Rating: Summary: Success is a journey not a destination. Review: I was first introduced to Jeff Alt and his wonderful book in Damascus, VA at Trail Days 2000. This book is a absolute must read. After talking with Jeff for some time, I left the store with restored hope in humanity. I had been searching for inspiration to push me over the edge and commit to hiking the trail. His book convinced me it was something I will definitey do.
Rating: Summary: A great read! Review: Jeff Alt did a wonderful job taking the reader along with him on his enourmous journey to not only raise money for his brother with cerebral palsy, but also on completing the 2000+ mile Appalacian Trail. I would definetly recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in the outdoors or inspiring stories!

Rating: Summary: Thanks for the trip down memory lane, er trail, Wrongfoot! Review: One chilly March evening in the mountains of Georgia, I was settling down for a night's slumber. Just as I was about to doze off, I see a headlamp coming down the trail. Shortly thereafter, the person attached to the headlamp introduced himself to the group of us in the lean-to. It was Jeff Alt..aka Wrongfoot. Wrongfoot captures the spirit of hiking the Appalachian Trail. From the cast of characters one meets on the trail, to the cold and the rain, the majestic views, and to that final and happy step on Katahdin. Paul "Magaroni" Magnanti ps. yes, I really did look that funny chasing a water bottle! :D
Rating: Summary: Great adventure for the mind! Review: One of my "dreams" is...to hike the AT!!:) I actually found out about the book "A walk for sunshine" from a magazine while visiting Roanoke, VA! I went to our local book store as soon as I returned and ordered it! It was so exciting, each and every chapter! Every day I looked forward to reading more to find out what would be in store for Jeff on his next trip on the AT! I'm sure his story was very realistic to what it "really" is like to hike the AT! I have now passed the book onto a friend who also has the desire to hike the AT and I'm sure she too will enjoy reading the book. I would highly recommend the book to anyone who likes to read, not only people who like to hike!
Rating: Summary: An Inspiration Review: The book was an inspiration to work towards my own goals. He showed me that if you kept the goal in sight and friends by your side in support that anything is possible with a little sweat and determination.
Rating: Summary: AT hiking 101 Review: This book was hard to put down! As a novice hiker, I could not wait to learn more about Jeff's adventures on the trail. The prospect of spending several months hiking and sleeping in the woods is overwhelming to me, but Jeff was able to write about it in a manner that even those who know nothing about hiking or camping can appreciate. Humerous, inspirational, and downright entertaining...and he's right about the rocks in Pennsylvania!
