Rating: Summary: first rate resource for llama packing Review: As enthusiastic, if aging, hikers, my husband and I have discovered llama packing as a way to continue to explore the mountains without carrying big backpacks. This book provided concise and useful information that helped us decide if the llamas we wanted to buy were good for the task, how to care for our llamas, and how to train them for packing. The information on selecting and using pack equipment was also very helpful. The resources in the appedices that include where to buy gear and how to make it yourself were also useful. But one of the best parts of the book are the author's personal stories about actual on-the-trail experiences. She clearly loves her llamas and the wilderness. In my opinion this book is a "must buy" for hikers who are ready to let the llamas carry the load.
