Summary: The Best Book Out, The Legend Of Bagger Vance
Review: This is a book that will make you want to read again. It is a golf book, but it is also a book about life. Unless you hate life and Golf you should read this book. You should especially read it if you love golf. Actually if you love any sports. It has a great character in the book. He is a very powerful, yet gentle and wise man, this wise man is Bagger Vance. He shows lots of emotion as a caddie. You need to read this Book.

Summary: Absolutely fabulous - Couldn't put it down!
Review: Although I'm not much of a golfer (where is my "authentic swing!"), this book grabbed hold of me immediately and didn't let go. Pressfield so effortlessly transported me back to 1931, I really had the feeling I was part of the gallery watching that epochal match. His descriptions of both Walter Hagen and Bobby Jones were wonderful, but more thought-provoking were the journeys into Indian mysticism (along those lines I also recommend "Be Here Now" from the Hanuman Foundation). Even if you've never hit a golf ball, you're in for a treat with this book.

Summary: This book does it all
Review: It's funny how you latch onto a book. I had heard about Bagger Vance a few years ago but for some reason never picked it up. And although I am a not very often sub 100 golfer this book does not have to be about golf. It is about every challenge you have ever had, every competition, every incident of wanting to win. It summarizes my feelings on my swim team when I was 12 as well as my feelings watching my 12 year old todayplay hockey. Read this book with an open mind and a free spirit. It is fun entertaining and will remind you of something in your life

Summary: Great book
Review: A fascinating angle on the Bhagavad-gita and Mahabharata philosophy. If like me you found this book thought provoking then try reading 'Mahabharata: The Greatest Spiritual Epic of All Time' by Krishna Dharma, available here on Amazon.

Summary: An Amazing read. Well worth the rainy day it took to read.
Review: I actually read this book for a college class on Asian Literature. After having read the Mahabharata, I can say this book clearly comes from at least a basis of that story. If you read this story as JUST a GOLF story I think you've missed the point.

Summary: A Mystical Journey to Reclaiming Honor
Review: I may not have picked up this book, if they were not filming the story in Savannah at this moment. It would have been a monumental loss to have missed this read.

The name "Bobby Jones" is still renowned as a Georgia hero. I never really understood the awe of this man till this book. Bobby Jones reclaimed "honor" for the South in the world scope by his victories on the field and his behavior in all circles.

LEGEND follows a Savannah WWI hero who needs to search his soul to reclaim his honor. He does so on the 18th hole, which is aptly named Valor.

Summary: I had to force myself to finish this book.
Review: I would not recommend this book to anyone. While the portion of the book that documents the competition is somewhat interesting, I felt I was reading a recruiting book for the occult.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Amazing book!!! A must read for anyone who loves the game.
Review: This book is the best golf book I have ever read. I read this book from cover to cover on a rainy day when I was working as a caddy at a local golf course. The next time I played I shot a personal best. Don't get me wrong, this is not an instructional book. It is simply a wonderful story.

Summary: A wonderful book
Review: I found "Golf in the Kingdom" to be a little self important but enjoyable. This book does indeed have a familiar "Shivas Irons" ring to it, but I found it much more enjoyable, actually reading it in one marathon session!

Summary: A "Golf in the Kingdom" Wanna-be
Review: If "Golf in the Kingdom" did not exist, this would be merely a mildly entertaining read in the vein of the "Celestine Prophecy" -- harmless metaphysical pablum for the Ramtha crowd. Because "Golf in the Kingdom" does exist, however, this is such a blatant ripoff that I find it offensive. Literally every thought in this book -- and, indeed, some of the very language -- has been lifted from "Golf in the Kingdom." I am by no means a "Golf in the Kingdom" groupie, but at least it does what it does with a great deal more style and depth than this. The first half, before we launch into the Bagger Vance is God theme, is fairly entertaining and fast-paced. After that, adios. Spend your money on "Golf in the Kingdom" and "Bobby Jones on Golf" and you will have everything this book is trying to say, but said with a great deal more style, depth and authenticity. Rarely have I seen a more blatant ripoff of someone else's ideas. Some of the anachronistic details are also a bit off-putting to someone who really knows the game.
