Rating: Summary: Truly a running classic Review: If you've ever run, this book is truly a classic. And if you haven't, there is a lot to be gained from it. I read this book at the recommendation of my husband, who was a Div. 1 college runner at the time, married to me -- once a high school runner. Even after quitting running and being totally annoyed that my husband was out of town all the time running in college races, this book inspired me. Ten years later, it still does. I read it every few years to remember what real running means.
Rating: Summary: A book for serious runners Review: First of all, don't listen to "the reader" from Conway, Ark, he has no idea what he's talking about. The point of this book isn't to have amazing writing skills and style, it's to portray the life of an elite runner and show the dedication and the lifestyle of someone who gives up everything to be the best runner he can be. Someone that critisizes this book and doesn't understand what these characters are going through is not a true runner and never will be.
