Summary: a good read
Review: This is a definite must for beginning ninjutsu students. I found it extremely informative, even though some of the pictures are a little hard to identify. it has really interesting insight and description for all aspects of ninjutsu, as well as some interesting history. I found it especially helpful because there is not a ninjutsu school near me and therefore i have had to train by myself.

Summary: Nice collection of history to Ninjutsu-practicioners
Review: This is a great book, but only for historical purposes. It doesn't really tell you *anything* but the basic history-line. I liked it, but then again, I am a ninjutsu fan myself. For others it doesn't mean a thing and I personally like Hatsumi's other books more for the content.

Summary: Marketing
Review: This is a pure marketing joke. It's all about promoting Hatsumi and his system. The history is also wrong. Oh, some good points are brough up on page 5 I think it was, but overall, you'd be better off buying a history book based on actual fact, rather than the promotion of the Bujinkan. This has nothing to do with real "History and Tradition".

Summary: Full of Nijutsu Information
Review: This is a superb book about ninjutsu. My husband, a 3rd degree black belt, said he's learned more in the first 14 pages of "History and Tradition" than in Stephen Hayes' books. Of course that should be obvious because Masaaki Hatsumi was Hayes' Sensei. The book briefly goes thru the history of the ninja including the other 33 Grandmasters (he's the 34th). Plus there is an in depth explanation of several ninja moves and tactics. The one thing that impressed my husband was that Hatsumi not only showed how to do moves but also when and where to do them. In my opinion this is a great study tool for anyone interested in ninjutsu. Highly reccommended!

Summary: This tells of the pleasure of reading Dr. Hatsumi's work.
Review: This is a wonderful book. It puts in action a great start for the beginning practitioner of ninjutsu as well as a guide for the senior student. I, as a follower of ninjutsu, can always further my training through techniques in this book. Even though Dr. Hatsumi no longer takes in students, I feel this book shows some of his masterful teachings perfectly. The instructions are also very easy to follow. I would recommend this book or any other books written by the Grandmaster to anyone . If you are involved with ninjutsu and have not purchased, or repeatedly read this title, I advise that you do.

Summary: EXALENT! One of Soke Hatsumi's best!!!
Review: This is one of his best books, and I highly recomend that you get it! It is wonderful, it is the first one of his books that I had ever read, and I loved it! I hope that if you get it I hope that you like it as much as I did! And if you read this Mr. Hatsumi, you did a great job!!! :-) And I hope to meet you some day!

Summary: Ninjutsu written by the Master
Review: This should be considered as the intro text for student of Ninjutsu. This book gives a complete general information about Ninjutsu by the Grandmaster himself. It covers almost everything you need to know about Ninjutsu. Including a brief history, techniques, body conditioning, weapons and more. This text is an excellent introduction for beginners, and should be in every library.

Summary: History is an insight to the past and future
Review: True this book does not tell "how to become a ninja". But knowing the history of ninjutsu helps you understand the purpose and meaning of the Ninja.
