Rating: Summary: Get This Book Review: Absolutely the best learn-to-juggle book I've ever seen. While it took me a long time to learn how to juggle (I had to keep stealing the book from my brother), once I started, I couldn't stop. He finally gave up and let me use the book whenever I wanted. Seeing me, he recently started juggling and is fairly decent at it already. A GREAT BOOK TO LEARN WITH!!
Rating: Summary: A good book and a great gift. Review: Although I didn't actually learn how to juggle from this book, I have read it, and later went on to juggle professionally. So, coming from that perspective, I think this book is really as good a first juggling book as you can find. It's encouraging and fun, and does a solid job explaining the basics. The amount of people I've met who have learned to juggle from this book is pretty impressive. So I guess you might say that this book is the best thing to happen to juggling since the invention of the ball. Okay, that was going overboard - but this book is a good introduction to juggling and a great gift which people will appreciate for years to come.
Rating: Summary: I found the instructions easy to follow and enjoyed learning Review: Amazon and Klutz: We found the book to be easy to read and the instructions clear and easy to follow. My son enjoyed learning to juggle using the cubes sent with the book. However, within the first couple of hours of using the cubes, one busted a seam and spilled its contents onto the floor. This ended his learning experience, since then there were only two cubes.
Rating: Summary: I'm sherrie - I'm a juggler Review: For the modest investment of this book you get all you need to become an honest to God juggler, amazing family and friends and risking breakables throughout the house. Seriously, the book teaches basic technique along with a few helpful hints from an experienced juggler. The text is easy to follow and the illustrations, both those for actual technique and those for entertainment, make it a fun read. It's suitable for children or adults who want to give juggling a try. Either you'll get hooked and move on, as I did, to learn other aspects of the juggling craft, or you'll have a fun book and three beanbag balls to play with however you want.
Rating: Summary: This is a good book if you want "Learn" to Juggle Review: I basicly taught myself how to juggle, and it would have been much eisier to learn if I had this book. but the book also lacks any more advanced tricks. I also didn't like the way they made juggling 5 balls sound Imposible, It isn't that hard it just takes pretty long time. If you just want to learn how to juggle than this is a great book, but if you already can I'd recomend "Beyond the Cascade" by Georg Gillson, it has step by step instructions to 88 3 ball tricks.
Rating: Summary: this was my first juggling book i love it Review: i bought this book 15 years ago at Hemlis in London. it wasright there between al the toys. the beenbags where my first jugglingballs and i vertualy memorized the book...
Rating: Summary: An amusing read but don't believe all the claims. Review: I did indeed enjoy this book. The subject is approached with humor and simplicity. However, I went into this thinking (as others have claimed) that I'd be juggling away within minutes or, at most, an hour or two. Not so. Four days later and I'm still trying to master the basic cascade. Maybe it's an age thing or maybe I truly am a klutz. Whatever the reason, this book with its set of beanbags will get you on the road to the basics of juggling but don't expect to be able to join the circus next week. It may take some time to learn the basics but it will happen with patience and persistence. This book will help in that with its quirky humor. However, to learn more advanced juggling you will need a book like "The Complete Juggler" by Dave Finnigan. For those of us in the world who need a little extra help, I would recommend starting with scarves instead of beanbags. I would definitely recommend this book as a gift. It would make a great stocking stuffer for pre-teens, teens and young adults.
Rating: Summary: Lots of fun Review: I first bought this book two years ago when I was going camping with a friend of mine. Let me tell you something, this was a perfect purchase. The book makes learning to juggle not only fun, but easy. By the time I got home I was handling three balls like a pro. I'm still working on 4.
Rating: Summary: It delivers whatever it promises.. Review: I first read about how to juggle from the Internet but I couldn't find a set of juggling bags in my area. So I turned to this one.The bags are more than adequate. A lot better than tennis balls when you don't have your own ball boy. I got what I expected. But the books happen to be more valuable than these bags. It is a fun to read, there are a lot of witty illustrations. Writing is easy to understand and get its points across. I started to get the feel of juggling by the fourth hour I practiced. By the seventh day I was able to do 3 balls circular juggling which is a very neat trick to impress your friends. It's that easy given you have a strong will. After the normal 3 balls juggling becomes boring (believe me you'll have the same feeling), you'll find a few more tricks that will keep you busy for a few months, like 2 balls in one hand or 2 balls in each hand. Five balls juggling is also possible, though the author claimed no one had ever succeeded in less than three months of intensive practicing. Juggling is no longer a spectator sport. It is about how you train your automatic pilot. Now I know what's in the juggler's mind. Good luck! ...
