Rating: Summary: Alot of the lessons of life contained in this book. Review: As an avid hunter, I really enjoyed Steve's insights into the ways that hunting can be corolated with everyday life. The special way that he brought the sport to life showing that taking an animals life was not what hunting was all about. The times in the woods with our God and the pleasures of His world. The silence and the peacefulness. Steve's comments on how our children are like arrows drawn in our bows, we cannot hold them forever, we must let them go out into this world and pray our aim is true. Thanks

Chapman touches on the true essence of sportsmanship and points to the one TRUE Trophy....Eternal Life. What better way to contemplate our sport than to focus on the Creator of all life. Dont waste your time buying a copy of this book. Buy several!
Rating: Summary: A LOOF AT LIFE FROM A DEER STAND Review: Caution to all! This book is not what the title refers to, it is not about Deer Hunting. When looking for books on Deer Hunting I, thought this may be a good book for a first tim hunter. WRONG ! This book is about life, very LITTLE about Deer Hunting, or hunting from a deer or tree stand. I feel my money was wasted.

Rating: Summary: A special thank you to all who have read this book Review: Dear Readers of A Look At Life From A Deerstand, Those who venture to the woods as passionate pursuers of the whitetail deer are a unique community of individuals. There is a mysterious and marvelous bond between these folks that can cause complete strangers to become immediate friends when both discover they share this interest. I know this to be true because, for example, I've been in airport gate areas waiting for a flight to board and I might see a fellow who carries an item or wears a peice of clothing (ususally camo) that indicates he might be on his way to or from a hunting trip. When I ask him about his journey and discover he is indeed "one of us" I see the lights come on and he's ready to talk about either what's ahead or what just happened. I honestly love to hear their stories and.. they listen intently to mine. It is an amazing and immediate bond. I love it. A Look At Life From A Deerstand is my way of not only connecting with you as one of my partners in the great and awesome challenge found in the illusive whitetail, but a tool you can use to connect with others. It is an incredible honor to know that many of you have passed along a copy of this book to family members and friends. I have heard reports of you doing so for reasons that range from simply sharing a familiar passion for hunting with someone to sincerely reaching out to them with the messages embodied in the text. For whatever reason you may have read it yourself or passed this book along to another, I want to say a deep heart-felt thank you and God bless you. May all your seasons be safe and enjoyable. Steve Chapman/author/A Look At Life From A Deerstand
Rating: Summary: Real life and hunting Review: Great read for people who like to read about hunting and that maybe experiencing a difficult time in their life. Either way a great book. Mr. Chapman combines his hunts and true life stories on how hunting has put things into perspective for him and also how he has learned to appreciate family, life and things we have in such a limited amount of time. I would recommend it to anyone. I also purchased a copy for a dear friend and hunting partner who is minister. I haven't given it to him yet but I am sure he will enjoy it as much as I. THANKS
