Summary: Much Improved
Review: My husband bought me this book for mothers day, I am very new to the game of golf. It helped me to overcome the intimidation factor that I felt when I first went to the golf course. It has also helped me shave strokes from my score, this book has been a wonderful asset to me.

Summary: MUST READ FOR THOSE WHO NEVER HELD A CLUB
Review: This book is a bible for those of us who have never held a club. Kellie gives you everything you need to get started by yourself and explains in plain language all the basics that you need. I reviewed a number of other books to help get me started without having to pay for golf lessons and I found this to be the best. I bought cheap clubs, Kellie's book and hit the driving ranges and putting greens. For someone who knows "nothing" about golf, doesn't have a "partner" and wants to play because she's fallen in love with the sport -- this is the book for you.

Summary: This is an excellent book for beginners
Review: This book is well written and well organized. It covers all the basic information in a simple, easy to understand fashion and the accompanying photos are extremely helpful.

I found the advice on how to practice and how long it takes to get comfortable with the sport to be especially good. I recommend this book to every woman just getting started in golf. I know I will be referring back to it often, much more often than any of the other golf books I have read so far. Much, much better than Golf Is A Woman's Game.

Summary: Good book for becoming a golfer
Review: This is a must read for beginning golf. You will learn the proper grip and alignment that is essential for making a good foundation. I also highly recommend: The Ultimate Golf Instruction Guide: Key Techniques for Becoming a Zero Handicap Golfer or Better, isbn---1933023090. This second book helped me so much that I know can easily control where I hit the ball. I'm no longer embarrassed in front of my playing partners when I'm up at the tee box because of this book. In fact, I'm now scoring in the 80s and with time and practice I know I will be able to score even lower. These two books are must buys.

Summary: Suitable but not the best
Review: Very pricey book for such basic information. Liked Vivien Saunders, golf handbook for women and thought Golf for dummies was excellent. And of course everyone should read golf is a woman's game one of my all time favorites. The women's guide to golf is suitable but not in the top 10.

Summary: Well organized book
Review: Well organized book. Definitely for beginners. If you have ANY prior knowledge of golf you might want to skip this one, you won't find any earth shattering info here. Also recommend, Gary Mccord's GOLF FOR DUMMIES, contains almost 400 pages of great info.

Summary: What all golfers should know
Review: What every lady golfer should know! What a great book! Simple and to the point! Even men should read it. I recommend this book to every lady golfer that comes to the Terri Norris Golf Learning Center for golf lessons. All the golf professionals at TNGLC have read it and love it. But most of all the students love it! Way to go, Kellie!
