Rating: Summary: Swing away... Review: This book is great if your caught up in paralysis by analysis. Elaborating on Ernest Jones philosopy of "Swing the Clubhead," focusing on the feel of a swinging motion rather than mechanics. Do yourself a favor by reading Ernest Jones' book first to get a better understanding of a pure swinging motion as opposed to leverage - then this book pays off!
Rating: Summary: Very good book for golfers of all handicap levels Review: This has to be one of the better golf swing books on the market. The author does an excellent job of focusing on the importance of what the golf club is doing, versus body positions, and how the body should react to the swing motion. This book has the potential to help a lot of people's golf games in my opinion. I currently have a 13 handicap and have always struggled with too much tension, particularly in the left arm, and expect this teaching to help my game a lot. One improvement I would like to see in the book is more pictures of the golf grip he recommends, pictures of how the club should lay in the hands with the hands open, so I could get a better idea of how this grip compares to others. I would highly recommend this book to beginning golfers as well as more experienced ones.
Rating: Summary: It's About Time Review: This is one of, if not the best golf book I have ever read. It is easy to read, simple to follow and the order in which everything is covered is fantastic. I have never seen a book which not only covers the swing (which is finally made very simple to produce) but every aspect of the swing, i.e., swing, errors/fixes, shot making, mental golf. I would suggest that every golfer, who would like to know what the golf swing is really about, read this book. It is priceless. Thank you Manuel de la Torre.
Rating: Summary: Follow this advice and increase your handicap! Review: This is the first negative review I have written on Amazon, but I couldn't help it. This book is full of worthless drivel. There is nothing in this book that has any sound basis in science or physics. Just a bunch of one-liners such as swing the entire club or picture the shot. How many times can that stuff be written? Follow this book and waste alot of time.
Rating: Summary: Golf needs not be complicated Review: Upon receiving this book last Friday, the day before my next game, I flicked through & read paragraphs of interest. During this 15 minutes I learnt enough to shot a score 4 shots better than my previous best and consider this to be a little unlucky. Golf is once again fun and I have no hesitation in disposing of all my other books as I have, and will continue to, read & reread this book to extract all of the subtle information.
