Summary: Good book if you want to learn how to play golf!
Review: I bought the book because I was interested in learning the game. I found it very informative. Covered the basics and stretching exercises to do before playing. A must read if you are serious about your game!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Fantastic beginner's guide
Review: I bought this book after walking away unhappy with "Golf for Dummies" (2nd ed.). This book is so much better, because it focuses on things a beginner golfer needs to know, instead of trivia we don't really care about. After reading this book I have improved my swing and hit as well as picked out a good club set with the help of the chapter on clubs. I'll read this book over and over again as I become hooked on golf.

Summary: Great intro to golf
Review: I purchased this book to learn enough about golf to play a game with my boss. This book and a couple hours practice did the trick. It taught me all the golf specific jargon, the rules, and the basics of proper swing and form. Whether you want to play like a pro, or just play well enough to keep from looking like a fool, this is a perfect starting place.

Summary: A great intro to golf for those who are just learning.
Review: While Michelle McGann comes across well in this publication, much of the credit should go to her ghost writer who seems to have done an excellent job in translating a pro's techniques into layman's terms. This is a good book which is a valuable learning tool for those who are just being introduced to the sport. Subjects are discussed in a very simple, concise way, and at no times does the author speak to the reader in a condescending way. A great read.
