Summary: For any avid golfer or fan of women's sports
Review: Champions of Women's Golf is a 'must' for any avid golfer or fan of women's sports: it takes a coffee table approach in presenting a lavish visual celebration of fifty years of the LPGA, blending text by Melanie Hauser, Liz Kahn and Lisa Mickey with vintage black and white and color photos of women on the course. Photos taken from golf archives around North America compliment this history of the LPGA and women's involvement in golf.

Summary: A Great Choice for Womens' Golf Enthusiasts
Review: Champions of Women's Golf is a lovely and well-crafted book that chronicles one of the most important developments of modern sport -- the rise of women's professional golf. Lushly illustrated with thousands of historical, dynamic and gorgeous photos, the images tell the story of women's golf from its beginnings right up to today. Few books exist that so beautifully display the pictorial history of any sport. It is informative, passionate and a must for anyone who holds the history of the sport in high regard. Many of the images showcase the famous founders of modern women's golf (Babe Zaharias, Patty Berg and more) in joyously fun, rare photos. More modern women golfers are also profiled in exciting and important moments in their careers. The text (edited by the very capable Nanette Sanson) weaves the tapestry of images together into a cohesive fabric of history, passion and skill. This is a wonderful book and should be in every serious golfer's library.
