Rating: Summary: Beautiful Beautiful Book Review: This book is the most fantastic book I have ever owned. Whether you're a horse-lover or not there is pleasure in browsing this volume. The photography is breath-takingly excellent. The artistry evident in it's layout make it much more than a collection of absolutely wonderful photography - each page is a complete work of art!
Rating: Summary: Fascination Horse,a must have piece of art Review: This is one of the most fantastic books I have seen. When I buy it I only saw the cover and imediately I fall in love with it.I have no words to tell the feelings I felt when I began to see it.The pictures are breath-taking.The book is very well organized,it has sections about breeds with a page with lots of info and the the pictures with some commentaries and at the end of the book there is more info.If you love horses this is a must buy, trust me you will fall in love with this book,Gabriele Boiselle did an extraordinary job.
Rating: Summary: One of the most beautiful horse books ever published! Review: This large coffee table book is WELL worth the price (and cheap, at that!). It is rare to find a published photo of a horse that simply blows you away, but this book contains at LEAST ten such drop-you-in-your-tracks images. Gabriele Boiselle is a MASTER photographer. Horsemen (horsepeople, actually) will thank you profusely if you give this book to them as a gift, as will artists, photographers and just about anyone with a soul attuned to the beauty of horses. I plan to purchase a second copy immediately to give to my son, who is both a photographer and horsekeeper.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful Beautiful Book Review: This picture book of photographs is a must for any equinophile. Gabriele Boiselle is absolutely one of the best animal photographers in the world today. The photographs of the equine subjects and the human beings that admire and care for them are lush and full of emotion. There is great texture, color and light in each frame. The author clearly attempts to lovingly capture the essence of each horse in each photo while at the same time revealing the distinct personality of the individual creatures. I especially like the photograph of the older mare, Rosie, a Tyrolian Halflinger who pulls logs through the snow. This book is heavy. It needs a sturdy coffee table to hold it up. In addition, the writing that accompanies each photo is spare but poetic and elegant. This book is a masterpiece. My only disappoinment with it has to do with the Chapter on the Arabian breed. Boiselle only focuses on the finely bred Egyptian/Bedouin line bred horses. Certainly, the Polish and Spainish pure bred arabians deserved alittle attention, if for no other reason than to reflect the diversity of beauty and body type within one breed. You will not be disappointed by this collection of photographic art. But do yourself at favor, at $99 in bookstores, you definitely want to buy it online and save yourself a few dollars.
