Rating: Summary: The greatest college talent ever assembled? Review: I'll start off with this: Anything Mitch Albom writes is bound to be good. Possibly the best sports writer of all-time, the state of Michigan is blessed to have him covering our teams.Albom's Fab Five takes a close look at possibly the best college basketball talent ever assembled on one team. 5 Freshman taking a team to the national championship game will likely never occur again. Albom follows the team from the time Steve Fisher recruited through the infamous Timeout call Chris Webber made against North Carolina. Along the way, Albom captures the brash attitudes of Webber, Howard, Rose, King, and Jackson - 5 kids who were on top of the world in the early 1990's.
Rating: Summary: GREAT! Review: I'm not really into college basketball, but I picked this up anyway, since I'm a big fan of Mitch Albom's work. I couldn't put this book down once I started. It's compelling, moving and totally engrossing. Albom gets so into the heads of the players, I feel like I personally know Chris, Juwan and Jalen when I watch them play today.
Rating: Summary: A Great Book! Review: If anyone has ever loved the Fab Five of the Michigan Wolverines, then this book is for them. It gives a clear portrait of what it is like to play basketball for a major university. Get it!

Rating: Summary: Truly one of the greatest books I have ever read! Review: Mitch Albom delivers an incredibly detailed and captivating story of one of the greatest sports phenomenons of our time - the Fab Five. Excellent work, Mr. Albom.
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable Review: Mitch Albom is supposedly a newspaper writer and journalist. Yet somehow he managed not to notice the fact the subjects of this book (The Fab Five) were paid over $600,000 to attend the University of Michigan. This means that either: A. Mitch knew about the payments and therefore all the material he wrote concerning the Michigan basketball program is suspect because he was in on the coverup. OR B. Mitch didn't know about the payments and therefore all the material he wrote concerning the Michigan basketball program is suspect because he didn't even notice that the college kids he was covering were being paid over a half million dollars to play basketball.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: One of the best books I've ever read. Albom gave me an in-depth look at the Michigan's Fab Five. I could hardly put it down once I got started. His hard work truly shows in the text of this book
Rating: Summary: Failures? I'd Disagree! Review: Some say that the Fab Five were failures. The say that with the level of talent they had and not being able to win a championship they underacheived. I consider making it to the Final Four two consecutive years is accomplishing quite a bit. How in the world could coach Steve Fisher handle the pressure of having the nation's basketball spotlight on him and the Fab Five? Mitch Albom does and abloslutely phenomenal job following the Michigan basketball team through the ups and downs of the years with the Fab Five. Mitch goes through what is was like for all five of the freshman before they decided to come to Michigan. If you are remotely interested in basketball, read this book! It is excellent and keeps you interested the entire way through! If you are not a basketball fan, read the book anyways; you will become one. READ IT!

Rating: Summary: Fab Five - The Story of the Baggy Pants Revolution Review: The book covers the trials and tribulations of Michigan University's freshmen class of '91 (Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard, Ray Jackson and Jimmy King). A remarkablely indepth "inside" story, Albom dives into each players lead up to limelight and their reception to it.
