Summary: Dissapointed that the 19th edition had deleations.
Review: First read the 18th edition at the library! So impressed I ordered the new 19th edition. To my dissapointment the entire BLACK POWDER section was removed. You can buy a (separate) book that Blue Book Pub. offers!

Review: I got this book thinking it would offer me a warriors code of values I could follow... and then break because I'm a renegade - a real wild card. This book is actually just a bunch of gun prices. I don't know why I need a book of prices because if I want to buy a gun I'll just check the price before I buy it. I guess it makes comparative shopping easy, but all of these guns in this book are too expensive for me anyways.

Summary: Better late than never
Review: I should have bought one of these (earlier edition) years ago. Now when I sell a firearm and someone says that is too much I can show them the price range. I also use these figures to calculate how much to insure the firearms for and the Insurance Agent checks it also. I will use it at the next gun show and hope it will save me some money from greedy sales-people.

Summary: How come you don't offer the upcoming edition?
Review: I thought that is was a good price until I saw that it was the outgoing edition. The new one is due out very shortly, and the price for the new edition would quite a bargain, if it was the same as the outgoing edition. This is an execllent book for collectors and dealers. It is a very important tool for people who deal with firearms.

Review: I was disappointed at the number of errors and omissions I found when I looked up information on new 2002 and older Savage rifles that I was interested in purchasing and had independently researched. If it has so many problems w/guns I'm very familiar with it raises doubts in my mind as to its reliability with its other gun listings.

Review: The Blue Book is the "bible" for those who deal in used firearms.
Whether buying or selling, this is the place to start when setting a price to buy, sell, or bargain with respect to a particular gun. It is comprehensive and user friendly for those who do not engage in this area very often, but it can be well worth the price in terms of over- or underpricing of firearms for sell or purchase. As an added bonus, this edition honors a true American hero on the cover and inside with an interview of Joe Foss, WWII ace and Medal of Honor recipient. I highly recommend it to all dealers, collectors, and other interested persons!
