Summary: Credentials credentials credentials
Review: Ann is someone who leared from the best. Jimmy Williams and George Morris. Ann always impresed me with her persistence and determination. She never waivered from her goal. I haven't read the book yet but can personally vouch for the author.

Summary: Anne Kursinski not only can ride but write too!
Review: Anne Kursinski has been my hero since her 1988 Silver Medal win on "Starman" during the Olympics. She has a beautiful style and presence to her riding. I purchased this book on Amazon and have thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It's very easy to understand for the beginner rider on up! I recommend this book to all of my riding students. A must have for sure! I'll even read it again!

Summary: Clear photos, descriptive text...a great resource!
Review: Anne Kursinski has not only achieved international success as a U.S. Equestrian Team member, but has also established herself as a highly sought after instructor, clinician and now author. I've always admired her exquisite riding style, and she now shares her wisdom and systematic program with readers/riders. Her explanations are straightforward and concise with a true concern for both horse and rider. Beyond her abilities as a world class equestrian, Ms. Kursinski's level of horsemanship is unsurpassed as evidenced by her explanation/demonstration/review of each exercise she recommends, whether it is basic flat work or negotiating a cross-country course. Her flat work exercises provide such a solid foundation that can be used for any riding discipline. I am a nationally certified riding instructor who has also trained with some great instructors, and I've learned more from this book than from any other trainer I've worked with in several years. This book should be considered a must not just for competitive riders, but for anyone who truly wants to improve their riding and communication skills with their horse.

Summary: A must for any serious equine library.

Summary: Very thorough instruction and wonderful pictures.
Review: I found this book to be one of the best step-by-step books. I have been able to incorporate most of Anne's instrutions and details into my horses' training programs. The exercises are straight forward and easy to follow, more over, they are fun to do. I have gained a better "feel" for my horses and believe I am a better rider because of this book. I reccommend it to anyone who wants a sharper competetive edge and to those who want to know their horses better. It is a must for anyone rides primarily at home because it helps structure your horse's training and makes the rides more productive.

Summary: Clear photos, descriptive text...a great resource!
Review: I refer to this book often as I progress with training. It's great to see why the rudimentary exercises I'm working on now as a beginner become so crucial down the line. The photos detail every move and show the perfect form of an excellent rider. The author communicates the important stuff without a lot of preachiness often found in books by people at the top of their game. It's carefully laid out and easy to follow...a great addition to any serious rider's library (even novices!).

Summary: Great!
Review: I think it is just a graet book, if you are new or if you are checking details. It has a lot a information and very tiny but important details.

Summary: An Intermediate Rider's Bible
Review: This book exceeded my expectations. As an intermediate rider, the combination of multiple illustrations and accompaning technical commentary is instrumental. This book covers basic flat work and jumping and makes the "upward transition" to advanced work. Anne Kursinski's written style uses common sense and visual imagery. After reading each chapter, I couldn't wait to try out her techniques on my horse.

If you want to become more connected with your horse through feel and athletic ability, this book will work for you.

Anne teaches you to communicate with your horse physically and emotionally. A combination that is essential but understated.
