Rating: Summary: Bad Directions Review: This book is almost perfect. It's pages are thick and durable. The photographs are stunning. The descriptions of water temperature and weather in each region is accurate. Each surf spot that is profiled gives you a good understanding of the optimum conditions for ideal surf conditions. Hazards, wave shape, parking restricions ect. are explained in detail. The road maps are vague, and some spots are innaccurately placed on the already innaccurately drawn maps (New England). I would not be able to find at least 20 percent of the breaks, if I didn't already know where they were. If you want to be sure to find the breaks you've seen listed in a book, buy Wave Finder Surf Guide USA Hawaii/Authors=Larry Blair and Buzzy Kerbox.
Rating: Summary: Stormbraker Review: The Book Strombraker by Anthony Hwrowitz is amzing. I loved the adventure. In this novel ,a boy named Alex Rider thinks his uncle Ian Rider supposedly works for a bank. Alex is told that Ian Rider is in a car accident , somehow he finds out it's not true. As Alex used looks for his uncle he gets into a lot of michief . He works his hardest and gives it his all. I would recomend this book to anyone who likes adventure and mysteries.
Rating: Summary: Stormbraker Review: This book explains how waves are formed, provides information on forecasting surf conditions, and provides insider information into surf culture. It will help beginners get a clue on how things work in the water and provide those of us with experience the ability to travel outside of familiar territory to explore new spots. Ideal conditions are listed for every break in North America: ideal swell direction, wind direction, swell size, type of break (beach, reef, river mouth, point break, etc), and more. A must have for surfers.
