Rating: Summary: Revealed? Try REINVENTED! Review: Every now and again I find myself lost in a book, completely enraptured by the locales and characters of the narration. "Acadia Revealed" is not such a book, because it is a travel guide, but as far as travel guides go, this one does a fine job of enrapturing. I now look at Acadia in an entirely new light, and I have Jay Kaiser to thank. Creating a living world of travel narrative is Jay Kaiser's business, and business is good! In closing, if I had two words to summarize this book, they would be: "Totally Awesome." And if I had five words, they would be: "This book is totally awesome."

Rating: Summary: Absolute Acadia Review: Every once in a while, a guide book comes along which is not merely a series of maps and historical anecdotes, but rather a portal into the park itself. Care to feel the spray of the Atlantic across your face as a wave crashes into Thunder Hole? Dare to stand on Otter Cliffs and squint eastward as the sun emerges and rises up over the horizon? Simply cast yourself into the pages of Acadia Revealed. Let Jay Kaiser lead you on a journey of discovery into his own private utopia. Hold his hand as you trek the Carriage Roads. Dine with him in the Reading Room at the Bar Harbor Inn. Acadia Revealed is not simply a guide book. Its maps are topographical marvels. Its pictures are art in themselves. Its lyrical prose is uplifting and enthralling. With Acadia Revealed, Jay Kaiser has produced a masterpiece.
