Summary: WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
Review: ADVANCED TECHNIQUES ? It looks more like the Basic ones. Nothing that much to say, only that this books is not going to help you to have the basics of JKD (or better AMERICAN BOXING) that's what JKD is nothing more than the act of giving PUNCHES in a Punching Bag.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good book for someone who has experience in martial arts!
Review: Although this book is on advanced techniques, there are some moves instructed on how to do that are basic. For example, the leading straight is a basic punch in jeet kune do, and so is the side kick.

Also, I expected Bruce Lee to actually be bare chested while demonstrating the moves. He looks more familiar to me without a shirt on.

Still, this book is the best and I recommend it to any experienced martial artist!

Summary: Excellent Book!
Review: Excellent book by Bruce Lee that shows advanced methods that go beyond the "Basic Training" and "Skills In Techniques" books. This book covers attacking and defensive moves and various ways to use what you should have learned in the previous two books. Techniques show ways of attacking with punches, kicks, etc. as well as more defenses and counters. Excellent book if you have already studied the previous two books. Other books I'd recommend based on his fighting style would be the rest of this series, as well as "The Bruce Lee Library" series by John Little. The "Tao Of Jeet Kune Do" is also an excellent book that includes his own personal notes and thoughts about his fighting art.

Summary: Not yet read, but intend to do so.
Review: I am a great fan of Bruce Lee. I love his work and I hope I am a great student of his in the near future. I am only 17 yrs. old and I just started learning about Bruce Lees's techniques. I admit, I probably should have started a long time ago. But that time ago, I have always loved his movies and his fighting style. I hope to be just like him some day. I have never taken any kind of martial arts class of any sort. I have learned all my ways from his movies. I even mastered the weaponery of the mighty nun-chucks. All by watching his videos and taking the time. I wish more and more people would remember Bruce Lee as a great man and not some jip off the old block. Bruce Lee, if you are listening out there where ever you are, I am one of the few who greatly admire you. Your style and technique is one of a kind which nobody can take from you. I hope whoever reads this passage take a little time to commemerate the mastery of the way of the Dragon(also known as BRUCE LEE).

Summary: People don't know
Review: I thought this was a great book to build technique. Most people say this book was boring because some of it was basics, but people also missunderstand that JKD is not a style of Karate, it is more of an art. People always get JKD confused as a style, thats how they loose interest. I would have to reccommend this book to everyone, even maybe if your starting out sparring and you got the feel of everything.

Review: IN MEMORY OF MARIO PONTILLO
Since the late 1970's, I have studied Mr. Lee's "Way of the Intercepting fist."
This book will walk you through the physical aspect of his methods. It is the last in a volume of 4 books. I recommend you get all the volumes from this series. You will need to start from the beginning; and you do that by emptying your cup so Bruce may fill it.

My favorite quote: "Knowing is not enough, you must apply; willing is not enough, you must do." -Bruce Lee

Please do not hesitate to check out my Poetry book that I published while in the U.S. Navy in 2003; "Under the Rose: Poetry of Tragedy, Essence, and Romance"
