Summary: A must!
Review: As usual, Morris has created an easy to follow and absolutely essential book for those in the hunter circuit--and anyone else who wants to learn to ride from a master. The pictures are really helpful and all of the explanations are great. Buy it and learn!

Review: I am a beging rider and the more I read this book the more I improved

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A good base for all styles of riding.
Review: I have read and reread this book and consider it my equitation bible. It is not only for huntseat riders but the basics apply to all riders. Mr. Morris is one of the finest equestrians I know of. I own a first edition of this book and whenever I have a question I go to the master. I have always ridden according to the principles set out in this book and though I ride stockseat now , the same principles still apply. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to ride or to veteran riders.

Summary: A Really Great Book!!!
Review: I haven't read the whole book yet, but what I've read so far is excellant! There's tons of helpful information, and lots of photos!

Summary: The Hunter-seat bible
Review: I set a goal, less than two months ago to return to riding (10 years ago, I was a walk-trot) and learn how to jump before next year. Not only am I jumping, I'm the trainer's favorite demonstrator for her more advanced students! My secret is this book. Another trainer told me to read it, and she couldn't have given me better advice (no really, she couldn't). If you're a hunter-seat rider and if you want to really know what you're supposed to be doing, instead of guessing and second guessing your trainers' wishes, read this book!

Summary: Tremendous Practical Reference
Review: I was impressed with Mr. Morris's book--it is well formatted and reads very easily. I found his straightforward approach extremely helpful and he has made good use of illustrations and photos which support the written points. I was able to immediately incorporate techniques into my riding.

Summary: Simply a Must Read
Review: If you ride hunt seat and you only buy one book this is the book you should own. If you own more than one book this is the one you should read first AND last. George Morris breaks down every task into simple to understand steps with concise instructions and helpful pictures. As my trainer once told me, if you can follow George Morris's instructions, you'll be an excellent rider. I simply cannot say enough terrific things about this book!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Unbeatable!
Review: Of all the books I've read on huntseat equtation, this one stands alone at the top of the pile. George Morris has a way of explaining things in an understandable way. The exercises and advice given are very helpful. I have yet to take a clinic with Mr. Morris, but this book makes me feel certain that he is a master horseman capable of passing on his teachings, even through a book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A clear, concise summation of hunt seat equitation.
Review: Superb summation of hunt seat equitation and jumping by the "Master", George Morris. Mr. Morris approaches each skill in a step-by-step manner clearly understanble from beginner through advanced. His experience as a rider, trainer, coach and horseman shine through.

A few comments made at the end of this great book prevented me from giving this book a 5 star rating.
