Review: In my humble opinion, this is the best island of all and this is the best book for seeing it. It never left my sight and I was constantly depending on it for hikes. If you want your Kauai on the wild side and are ready for a few thrills and chills (especially if you hike the Kalalau Trail), buy a copy. These guys filled in all the blanks and I've got an album full of pictures to relive each day. Favorite beach for chilling afer hiking: Anini. It's tucked away and I would have never found it without my KT. Mahalo, Max

The authors have kept it updated thank goodness, and the content is lively and personal and witty. <br /> <br /> You'll always know where and when the farmers markets are (schedules are listed) where you can pick up organic produce and sweet apple bananas cheaply and meet some of the locals. Very colorful.<br /> <br /> It's hard to know just what's out there when you land at the airport but if you've already read this book you'll be ahead of the game.

Review: Kauai Trailblazer is one of the best guidebooks I've read on this particular island. Packed with a wide range of information, ranging from active to more leisurely pursuits, I don't think you can beat it as a great ALL AROUND trip resource. The maps are up-to-date and easy to follow and the writing and photogarphs compliment each other wonderfully. I would definitely recommend buying it for your next aloha journey.

Review: Kauai was all new to me. I escaped LA madness for ten days and briefly outlined what I wanted to do with the help of what I'd call this book - an expedition planner. From its description on Amazon I knew I'd be getting a hiking book and never expected all the routes for bike trail rides and long beaches with pounding surf , few people. The island and this guidebook provided me with the assurance that beauty and tranquility and quiet still exist in great abundance in this world. Customer greatly satisfied.

Review: Kauia Trailblazer is an excellent book for those who want to discover paradise and not miss any of it's beauty or activities or hidden spots. We enjoyed the island thoroughly with the help of this wonderful little book. We recommed it highly and look forward to the Sprouts next Trailblazer additions.

Review: Lays it out so clearly. The authors made it a snap to get around on our first visit to Kauai. My son and I surfed and snorkeled and we saved the hiking with the rest of the family for last. We were surprised to find so many uncrowded places without tourists. Features we liked: 5 pages where they higrade the best places for hiking, biking, kayaking, surfing, eating. The way the book is organized in chapters according to region. Heavy on the photos so you know what to expect. The author's sense of humor. We all agreed -- a great fit, supercool book.

Review: My sister and I were satisfied with every aspect of this wonderfully organized book. We're presently on an around the world ticket and have found Kauai to be one of the high points of our journey. This green book was a guiding light. It tops all others for snorkeling tips and the hikes it recommends are outright stunning - the vistas took our breath away. The authors really know the island.

Review: Of the three guidebooks we took on our vacation I would rate this new book the most useful. Kauai is pretty devoid of signs and the author's detailed directions really helped us find even the most hidden overgrown trails. The book took us to little coves and beaches where we found ourselves happily alone. Since my wife is not a stong swimmer, I appreciated knowing which ones presented unnoticeable riptides. If you want to cover every inch of Kauai and discover sublime places off the normal tourist beat, buy this book.
