Rating: Summary: Going To The Nationals! Review: I bought your book "Unlimited Doubles"last winter. I loved it and showed it to the pro at our club. He was impressed with it and said he liked the way it was presented. I have used everything in this book and passed it around to all my friends. But, what I want to tell you is that at the time I bought the book, I had just been elected captain of a 2.5 women's USTA team. This was our first year playing competitive tennis. Well, in four weeks, our team is going to the National Championships in Palm Springs. We won the Pacific Northwest Sectional Championships last month. Your book really helped me get a good grasp on the doubles strategies needed to improve my game. Thank you again, Fran Wooldridge Salem, Oregon
Rating: Summary: Doubles has never been explained this well Review: I haven't read a better book on Doubles play. I play in a USTA league mixed doubles in the winter and a mens team in the summer. This book helped me in both. It doesn't matter if you are mens, womens, mixed, 3.0 or 4.0 doubles. It helps them all. 12 chapters contain 12 key points to work on which are extremely valuable and easy to remember (a real plus when you are dealing with an opposing team rushing the net against you) The definition of doubles "flow" is excellent and can be used in singles as well. The discussion of "target tennis" is also put very well. Anyone above a 4.0 probably wouldn't need this book unless they wanted to teach it to students. But for those between 3.0 and 4.0 (USTA ranking) or people who just love to play doubles, using the principals in this book will take your doubles play to a new level!

Rating: Summary: Compared to Talbert and Olds... Review: I purchased Unlimited Doubles!! and have read it three times -- some sections more. It is EXCELLENT and is on the shelf right next to the old, old "The Game of Doubles in Tennis" by Talbert and Olds. It's publication date of 1956 will give you some idea of how long I have been a doubles fan and player. I am a USPTR instructor (pro rating) and conduct clinics with adults at various levels. I have recommended Unlimited Doubles!! to each of my classes even though their shot making ability needs improvement. Thanks for the worthwhile contribution to the doubles game.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: I've been a tennis professional for over 20 years and have taught a system that is almost identical to Steve's system that it shocked me to read! Steve made the game of doubles so simple that in one reading you can have your game improve a half a level. I currently have adopted his system because it's simple and easy to teach. The drills he outlines at the end of each chapter are great and can be altered depending on the level of play you are working with. I collect tennis books and have 100's, this one is on my top shelf.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I've read just about every book on tennis currently available and found Unlimited Doubles!! to shame them all. It's about time someone gave the reader some meat. Most books are full of random tips and fluff and I always left wondering what to do with the information. After reading this book, it all makes perfect sense. I wish there was a rating higher than 5 stars!
Rating: Summary: BY FAR THE BEST BOOK ON DOUBLES Review: I've read several of the popular books on doubles including The Art of Doubles by Pat Blaskower, Laugh and Win by Vic Braden, ect. In my opinion these other books are interesting at best but don't hold a candle to Unlimited Doubles. The author's way of breaking down the game into simple concepts REALLY helped me to understand. I no longer worry about all the other things most coaches try to get you to think about like "Who takes the ball in the middle?", and "Should I play the add or deuce court?" I no longer worry about all that because I FINALLY UNDERSTAND THE GAME! I'm poaching more than I ever have, I'm taking the initiative to win and I LOVE IT! No longer do I stand on the court hoping something good will happen. I'm closing into the net and using angles for the first time in my life! I'll be reading this book over and over again. Thank you SOOO much!
Rating: Summary: Excellent book Review: This book explains a simple 1-2-3 strategy in doubles. It's very effective. I've improved a lot since reading the book. I could have given it 5 stars had it mentioned about if you should watch your partner hitting the ball or your opponents.
Rating: Summary: New Possibilities Review: This book has created new possibilities for my doubles game and I can see how this system will work for anyone. It's thought provoking, inspirational and well organized. The book flows with great positive energy. The visuals really helped integrate each lesson and deepened my understanding on the court. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to develop their game and learn more of life's lessons.
Rating: Summary: Two Thumbs Up! Review: Unlimited Doubles could very well be the best doubles book ever written. It's easy to understand and quick to read with clear illustrations. This book lives on my nightstand as I refer to it over and over again. If you're a doubles player.. you'll find Unlimited Doubles to be very enlightening.
