Rating: Summary: A gift from the Golf Gods! Review: 11/11/04
The most important golf discovery since the ball and club!
This book should also be in the Self Help / Self Improvement sections of the libraries and bookstores across the country. These guys are truly messengers of the Golf Gods! The instruction not only translates miracle results "FAST", but also produces a natural high one can only receive through positive self-imagery and rock solid self-confidence that a 250-yard down the center drive can produce (GRIN).
At the time that I came across Tour Tempo, I probably had about a dozen or more Golf related books, videos & audios checked out from my local library. About 3/4 ways into the book I GOT IT!!! Immediately I returned all other golf materials to the library, rendered useless, tired and almost comical in their attempt to explain the golf swing, they were no longer needed. John's plain English, no nonsense writing produced immediate results like no other. I'm talking crisp, clean, true golf shots!!! As stated in their book, all prior instruction focuses on the same redundant items, mechanics and swing thoughts, thus producing a Rubik's Cube of frustration and confusion as we try to figure out what the heck their talking about. This instruction eliminates all swing thoughts with the exception of (3) Swing, Set, Thru, read the book and you'll know what I mean!
Oh and by the way, it took less than 1 week into this most important golf discovery since the ball and club for me to start striking then ball consistently, like never before!
Golf is beautiful! Life is good,

Rating: Summary: Until now, only the best golfers know what's in this book Review: Aren't you tired of playing most shots at a mediocre level, playing a few REALLY bad shots, and playing some almost like the hands of God swung the club so perfectly, shooting the ball right at your target? I know you guys/gals are smart people. And smart people will recognize that this is how most people play golf. Then those spectacular shots get them hooked and they become a regular golf nut. They will get a few lessons, read a few books, and maybe even buy a gimmick they saw on tv that promised them more yardage or more accuracy. Guess what happens? They might improve for about a month and then they are right back to where they were. I know, because I am one of them, and so are you, probably.
Have you read all these reviews for Tour Tempo? Guys talking about hitting the ball better than they ever have, scoring better than they ever have. It's hard to believe isn't it? Well go ahead and be skeptical, you should be, it's only natural. But, read this carefully...if you are tired of leaving the course wondering what the heck it is going to take to get some consistency and play some decent golf, then you need to read this book and do what John says. This guy is a student of the game and has studied and tested just about all of the stuff out there that you and I have seen. I know this because I was so blown away by the effectiveness of this book that I called him up on the phone to tell him. And he told me about himself and what makes him tick and why he wrote the book and what he has found through all his research. This guy is for real. But like anything new and revolutionary, there are the traditionalists who can't get away from grip, posture, etc., etc. being the answer to better golf. And it is part of it, I agree. But this book reveals the secret that ties it all together and produces DRAMATIC results.
All I have to tell you is that if you want to learn more about this secret, buy this book now, read it and do what John tells you to do. It's easy and produces fast results.
But please, if you aren't willing to give yourself a chance to learn what this book can teach you, then don't buy it. Just hope that you don't get in a money match with someone who has integrated what they learned from Tour Tempo. But if you happen to get it and do it, I'm sure you'll agree that is the best thing to happen to your game. It has been for me. And I'm a low digit single handicapper already. Buy it now and get better.
Rating: Summary: I wish I had this book 5 years ago... Review: but I'm still happy I came across this PEARL! The Y and L drills alone are worth their weight in gold. The illustrations are very excellent as well. I think "Tour Tempo", "Golf for Dummies" and "Golf Is Not A Game Of Perfect" are required reading for any serious amateur. Get them and thank me later!
Rating: Summary: It's the gimmick of the week Review: I am a 13 handicap. I bought the book, did the exercises and then shot my worst round in several years. In my opinion this is a gimmick along the lines of swing trainers, swing magic, medicus, natural golf, AJ on golf etc... Will you be lucky enough to have one of these gimmicks turn you into a better golfer overnight? Probably not. But lucky for you if you are.
There is very little information in this book. You can get all the substantive info. out of it in 30 minutes, maybe less. I suggest at least looking at the book in a bookstore before you buy it. You have to buy the book to get the CD, but I'm not sure it's worth it.
Rating: Summary: SO SO Review: I found that the audio part was hard to do. I have a very quick swing already so I could not go much faster on the audio tape. I felt like i actually had to slow down my swing. which in turn cause me to hit pulled shots. I'm a 5 hcp., but after the audio, i shot two rounds 89, 91. not so good. the article in golf maz. had the drills which was the only good part about the book
Rating: Summary: ENDING OF PERFECT SWING SEARCH Review: I have Played Golf for over 3 years now. So many golf books I have read but my breaking 90 seems so impossible until I bought the Tour Tempo. I practice just 30 minutes a day and after 2 days practice, my driver soaring to 270 yards and straighter(before I was just 240 yards). I have to change all my iron yardage by adding around 15 yards each. Now breaking 90 is easy. Its incredible book. Must buy for anyone who has played golf more than one year ( I do not think it will do much for a beginner)
Rating: Summary: Tour Tempo is a must read for any level of golfer. Review: I just read tour tempo. I am an 11 handicap and have played golf since I was 12 years old. After completing the drills, I immediatly went to course to try out what I learned. I shot a 78. Before reading tour tempo, I had never shot in the 70s and had never had a score better than 82.This is a must read for anyone who is looking for a concept/tool that brings all of the mechanics together with little conscious thought. The best thing is that it happens almost immediatley. I know this sounds too good to be true but it is true. This book will lower scores quickly and effortlessly. Rick
Rating: Summary: A must for a golfer's library Review: I was skeptical about the claims made by others regarding the information found in Mr. Novasel's book, "Tour Tempo." I learned of the book from another avid golfer. I decided that I would give it a shot and purchased the book. I have been working with the CD and book for roughly three weeks now. I play two times a week. Before digesting the information, I was shooting in the mid to upper 80s. I am now shooting in the upper 70s and believe that with additional tempo work I will see my score decrease more. The book is well-written and easy to understand.
Rating: Summary: Tour Tempo Works for Me Review: I'm almost 64 and wish I read this book when I was 20! The Tour Tempo method has had more impact on my game than any other device, swing thought, or swing aid that I tried. I'm able to reach greens-in-regulation that I was not able to reach 3 months ago and my drives are frequently the longest in the foursome. This method has improved my game and the increased distance has made it much more fun.
Rating: Summary: My Homage to An Incredible Discovery Review: I, being 17 years old, an avid golf addict and an absolute beast on the course, lol (the latter being untrue) have had nothing but skepticism for training aids to come out in the past few years. Kallasy's Swing Magic? SwingWeights? These things promoted too much thinking about swing mechanics, and not enough about what makes really good golfers good; the fact that they swing so slow to the eye, but yet generate so much clubhead speed. I bought the book and read it, listened to teh CD and did teh exercises for a week. As I stated above, I'm pretty young, so I have always swung pretty hard (117 mph) but I always had issues with my tempo, because it looked like I accelerated too much coming back. In one week, after doing the program, I hit two drives over 355 yards. 300 was always pretty attainable, but not 350. And even more impressive, I shot even par, which isnt bad for an 8 handicap. I thoroughly recommend taht you try this book, because there is no sense in clogging your mind with swing magic, or any of that, the only important thing that really matters; Tour Tempo.
