Rating: Summary: ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! Review: "Bruce Lee: Words From A Master" is the most insightful and revealing book on Bruce Lee, his martial art and his personal philosophy that I have ever read. The beauty of it is that these incredible interviews provide unquestionable authority as they are the only three interviews that can be verified through audio and video tape as being legitimately Bruce Lee and expressing his honest views and beliefs. Every other book contains quotes from Bruce Lee (I exclude the Tuttle series of books which are based upon his original writings)but never the context from which they are taken. The format of this book is also very agreeable; John Little (the editor and world's foremost authority on Bruce Lee) has actually tracked down the three individuals who recorded these interviews with Lee and obtained their insights and recollections on their dialogues with Bruce Lee. Absolutely brilliant! I have never -- ever -- seen this done in a book before. I hope that Mr. Little (who's other book "The Warrior Within" is without question the best presentation of Bruce Lee's philosophy I have ever read)is planning on continuing to write more books on Lee's thought as these books have only whetted my appetite for more authentic teachings of Bruce Lee. I highly recommend that you buy this book.
Rating: Summary: The best Bruce Lee Book ever written! Review: Forget all the other Bruce Lee books. There's not one that's ever been written that can compare to this. If you want to know the real Bruce Lee -- in his own words -- then you must get this book! I've never seen a book like this. Not only are the exact words Bruce Lee spoke in his only remaining interviews (the last three before he died) in here, but the authors went to three continents and interviewed the three men who interviewed Bruce Lee to get their insight on what Bruce Lee was like. Wait until you read what they have to say. I couldn't put the book down and the great thing is, you can read the whole book easily in less than 60 minutes. This is Bruce Lee -- in his very own words -- at his very best, talking about Brcue Lee, his philospohy, his fighting, being a man and much, much more. You will be inspired and at the end of the book, you will know Bruce Lee like you never did before. The way this guy thought was more amazing than I ever imagined. I know I'll refer to this book for inspiration time and time again. Wait until you read it. You will too. Great format, great size and even greater price. They hit a home run with this book. I can even see this book appealing to people who know nothing about Bruce Lee, yet may have heard the name and maybe have seen a movie of his. You'll want to know a lot more about Bruce Lee after you read this book. All I can say is "Get this book now!!!"
Rating: Summary: A good summary of Bruce's invention in Kung Fu JKD Review: I admire Bruce Lee's view and knowledge in consolidating every kind of marcial art Kung Fu and how to attack their weakness. That is the way of human. Also I suggest to buy his sculpture so that when you are studing his book you can also feel his gesture, style in other side thinking of "Put water into cup, it is a cup..." It will be a fantastic feeling you never found.
Rating: Summary: THE PROTOTYPE OF ALL FUTURE BRUCE LEE BOOKS! Review: I purchased the hardcover edition of "Bruce Lee: Words From A Master" several months ago and enjoyed it thoroughly. The fact that this book is the ONLY book in existence that is based upon actual and verifiable transcripts of Bruce Lee speaking about his life, art and philosophy make it the only unimpeachable source of information from Bruce Lee. I was at an airport the other day and spotted the new paperback edition of this book. I wasn't going to buy it, since I already had the hardcover edition, but I couldn't help myself! I like the paperback edition that much better as it is less awkward than the hardcover (particularly for such a comparatively small book). I think that this book will serve as the template or prototype of all future Bruce Lee books as it isn't a photo book -- it's a serious presentation of the thought and opinions of one of this century's greatest philosophers and martial artists, Bruce Lee, and is presented in a serious and engaging format. The book is chock full of valuable and practical information on life, combat, racism, yin-yang, dealing with challenges in life, and so on -- but all of it comes DIRECTLY from Bruce Lee himself. It's such a great and powerful little book that I will probably end up buying another copy for myself, along with additional copies for friends this Christmas. Thank you John Little and Contemporary Books for this masterpiece! I also bought John Little's "The Warrior Within" (perhaps the greatest Bruce Lee book ever written) and hope that Contemporary and Mr. Little will be bringing us more Bruce Lee philosophy books in the near future! It's the perfect tonic for our troubled times.

Rating: Summary: Okay Review: I wouldn't wbuy this unless you're'a die hard bruce less fan. buy the warrior within by john little. it covers far more of bruce's philiosophies then this book.
Rating: Summary: Even if you aren't a Bruce Lee Fan A good Buy Review: If you're not a Bruce Lee Fan it really doesn't matter because in this book bruce talks candidly about so many topics that deal with life it is a facinating book with an excellent show of moral values as theywere held by the little dragon if you are a Bruce Lee fan then this book is key in understanding his philosophy no one can better explain the theories of Bruce than Bruce himself.
Rating: Summary: The really own words of the master are excellent Review: One at the front: The really own words of the master are excellent. One must make sure that only 43 sides of the only 7 x 5 inch small book are interviews with Bruce Lee. The rest consists of interviews with the former interviewers. However, as a paperback this book costs not really a fortune. But the words of the master are absolutely worth-while, as already mentioned at the beginning.
Rating: Summary: 3 interviews and discussion Review: This book consists of 3 interviews with Bruce Lee, and followup interviews with the interviewers themselves. It provides a great insight into Bruce Lee's personality and attitude. It also provides something fairly rare - a look from both the perspective of the original talk and from the person who asked the questions. Excellent book. All told, though, it is pretty slim for the price, which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
Rating: Summary: An insight into the personality of Bruce Lee Review: This book gave me a further insight into the kind of person Bruce Lee was. This is due to my reading a couple of others about him. The impression that was most re-inforced was that he was a positive minded person. The other thing I picked up here was that he was the kind of person who always evaluated himself on a regular basis to see how he could improve etc. The bad thing about thing about this book is the interviews with the interviewers; these are nothing more than opinions about Bruce by men who, in my book, didn't know Bruce long enough to warrant their opinions to be worth printing in a book. I think these were included to give volume to the book. Because I was only interested in Bruce's own words, I learned nothing from these bits. (It is because of these wasteful bits I only given 3 stars)
