Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A very enjoyable, can't-put-down read! Review: Great book on a great guy. But since his co-writer got the basic facts on HK wrong (HK Island is NOT the biggest island in HK and smaller by far than Lantau....and were Jackie leaving the Clearwater Bay studios after a hard day's work, there is NO WAY he could be arriving in Kowloon by ferry as CWB is in the New Territories and NOT on HK island!!) it makes me wonder what other facts on Jackie's life itself were reported wrong. But nevermind, it remains a great book on a great guy!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: You'll laugh, you'll cry. You'll miss it when it's over. Review: I don't have a lot of free time to devote to reading (I haven't read a book in 4 years) so when I do read a book I make it WORTHWHILE. I bought this book a week ago. I have to FORCE myself to put it down so that I can get some work done. One chapter flows into another..seconds become minutes...minutes become hours...it's impossible to put this book down without wanting to pick it right back up again! With every page I turn, I watch with impending doom as I creep toward the end of the book. What am I going to DO when I am finished? Jackie? Are you there? Can you hear me? You NEED to write another book ;)
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: If you're a Jackie Chan fan buy this book now!! Review: From his humble beginings as the son of a cook and a cleaner all the way to his current "superstar" status - with everything between. This is an honest and often moving account of Jackie Chan's life; detailing his harsh upbringing, his struggle to reach the top, his joys and his regrets. This book has given me a new insight on a man I have admired since my early childhood. "I am Jackie Chan: My Life in Action" also includes Jackie's comments about every film he has made, lists of his favourite stunts and fights and details of the injuries he has sustained as the result of his unique "The more terrified my friends and family are, the more satisfied my fans will be" stunt directing formula, that has had fans gasping for breath for over two decades.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A story of intrigue and determination Review: Having done an extensive report on this biography, I have read it inside out over and over. Yet each time it becomes a more captivating story. Jackie Chan proves in this story that he is not just another action star. He is a unique man who has combined various fighting styles and daredevil stunts to create a style of his own. I highly recommend this book to any kung-fu action star fan!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Even if you aren't a fan, READ THIS BOOK! Review: This book is SO entertaining, it is worth a read whether you're a fan or not! Cover to cover, there isn't a dull moment in this book. Jackie Chan is extremely funny and vibrant, and I can't help but smile when I keep reading! A great book that confirms that if you work hard and keep your sense of humor, you can make it from the poorest of circumstances. A MUST READ!!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A BOOK WHO WILL LOVE FOR EVER! Review: This book looks great from the cover to the end and especially his fans will adore it.I haven't read more than ten pages and it already captivated me.Jackie Chan is a wonderful man and actor and a whole lot more and his past was not easy at all, most great men in history are like that.Let's hope he will be a little more careful in the future with his life,we'd rather risk hiself less and live longer.Jackie Chan we love you and support you. This is a must book in real words.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Talented man, talented storyteller Review: I didn't realize that Jackie Chan, the martial artist master, would have such an interesting past. You have to read this book to realize how much this man had to fight to get to where he is today. Extremely well written so that you have to read the next page even if you havn't slept for hours. The biography genre has never really interested me, but 'My life in Action' was a great read by any standards. I would love for Chan to do a second volume. He is such an extrodanary human being and has had such an eventful life that I think has to be shared, mabye he could go into more detail about his movies or something like that, but he has my garentee that if he does write another book I'll be the first one to buy it. Keep on punching Jackie.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A autobiography good enough to be Jackie Chan's. Review: This autobiography is superb. Almost everyone knows of his humble beginnings at the Peking Opera school, but this details the stories behind the life of the man. The stories about his loves, his run in with the Chinese Mafia, and the death of his mentor, the all evoke great emotion from the reader. A definite purchase, highly recommended.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Entertaining autobiography of a great man Review: Jackie Chan has a special genius for being able to blend Chaplin-esque humor with kung fu fighting, and with this book, you will learn how he did that and all the hardships he had trying to be a star in Hong Kong (Lo Wei wanted to make him into another Bruce Lee whereas Willie Chan, and Leonard Ho and Raymond Chow at Golden Harvest gave him the opportunties he needed) and later America, who at first turned it's back on Jackie, but changed it's tune after Rumble in the Bronx came out here. You also get to find out about the personal life of Jackie Chan and I must say, if you're curious about the man, pick this book up.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Keeps you Turning the Pages! Review: This is an excellent book for the novice Jackie Chan fan as well as for the hard-core fan. There are lots of great stories with behind the scenes insight that you won't want to miss. His rags to riches story will inspire you to never give up. It's a quick read with short chapters.
