Rating: Summary: A great book in its own right Review: After reading Mick Foley's book, I have to say I was really excited to see what kind of effort The Rock would put forward. I was convinced that no one could top Mick's book. I then began to realize that Mick and Rock are totally different men with different experinces, so their books would be different. Knowing that, when I saw The Rock's book, I snatched it up, went home and read it cover to cover. Overall, I really enjoyed the book. I was impressed at how much of an insight the reader gets into the life of Dwayne Johnson. He was very honest and straightforward. I was very impressed at how he talks about the prejudices he has faced and how honestly he discusses his family. It was also very interesting to see how The Rock's character was developed at a young age, way before Dwayne ever knew he would become the most electrifying man in sports-entertainment. And the chapter on Owen Hart was touching and a fitting tribute. The one thing that I did not enjoy was the switch from Dwayne to the Rock, I found it annoying and I think it took away from the book. This book is a must have for any Rock fan and another good and different look into the wrestling business. If you read this book, you will really know what The Rock is cookin!

Rating: Summary: What happened to Mankind? Review: I thought the book was great. It was a great balance between Dwayne adn The Great One himself. The only thing that I could suggested to The Rock at the time he was writing his book was to add more about Mankind only because on WWF, Mankind is one of the Rock's most faithful friends and I was suprised he wrote nothing of his experience with the Rock and Sock connection or anything of the sort....

Rating: Summary: Too bad you can't put 100 stars instead of 5 for this book! Review: WOW! Mick is pure genius! This is easily the best book that I have ever read, and I think that I only put it down about 6 or 7 times while reading it. I couldn't stop reading his stories (most of which were hilarious), and I never got bored. This is a great book that EVERYONE sould read, wrestling fan or not.
Rating: Summary: Know your role........and read this book! Review: The Rock is not only an attractive rising star, he is an excellent athlete. People said his book was just a follow up to Mick Foley's, a copycat. They also said that becuase The Rock (actual name Dwayne Johnson) didn't write it, it would be impersonal. but it went in great detail about the Rock's life, and I enjoyed getting to know the wrestler through another's eyes.
