Review: This is one of the most electrying books I have ever read! It is a great book. It tells how The Rock ( the greatest wrestler ever) grew up and about his chances in the WWF and where he is now today. This book made me look at him a very different way. It tells me glimpes of The Rock I thought weren't possible. To me this book was very interesting and I think everyone should take the time to sit down and read this great book. IF YOU SMELLLLLLLLLL WHAT THE ROCK........... IS COOKIN'.

Review: Admittedly, I'm a fan of the WWF. I'm not goint to say that this book will appeal to everyone, because it probably won't. But Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, writes a very entertaining, well put-together book. It gives a lot of insight into the world of professional wrestling, peppered with funny anecdotes from his early days. I throughly enjoyed it....

Review: A literary masterpiece! Seldom are first-time authors greeted with acclaim so univeral, but The Rock has seized the intellectual heart and wrung it dry. Never in my experience has an author so profoundly touched me (perhaps Tolstoy or Proust) and beaconed me to their world. This is that rare literary work of art that offers hope for great literature in the new century.

Review: First of all I have to say the book is the most interesting piece of literature I ever picked up! If your a true fan of The Rock you will love this book. It is a good book because he tells the truths about himself, unlike other celebrities that wouldn't reveal half the things he did. The punch line is he is a real person who went through real life problems,he started from the bottom to the top, and I think he is a very strong man as well as athlete. Just from reading his book, I found out things about him I didn't know before. You get to really know who Dwayne Johnson is. For everyone who said that the book in terrible, I think they are jealous of his talents and accomplishments. He seems as if he is a very nice down to earth person. All I can say to him is good luck with life and your wife she is a very lucky women! Have some kids soon to keep the name alive, from Peter Maivia, to Rocky Johnson , To Dwanyne Johnson, to Rocky Jr.!

Summary: Interesting book - Mankind's is a little better
Review: I've just recently become a wrestling fan so I couldn't wait to read both Mick Foley and The Rock's book. I just finished "The Rock Says" and thought it was really good. If you are a fan of The Rock, then this is definitely a good read, you will learn a lot about Dwayne Johnson, the person and just how The Rock came to be. It's very interesting but I thought the book was a bit premature in being written. After all, he hasn't been in the business all that long. I found Mick Foley's book much more humorous and fun to read but The Rock Says was a quicker read.

Review: The Rock Says really tells the story of Dwayne Johnsons life.I learned several new things about him from reading his book.I would recommend this book to any Rock and wrestling fans.I have to admit,however,the book would have been even better if Dwayne Johnson had told the whole story.Towards the end,The Rock takes over,talking about himself in third person,as he always does.

Summary: If you don't like wrestling don't buy this book ...
Review: because you simply won't identify with what the Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment has to say. It won't make a whole lot of sense either. Interest in the wrestling industry and the Rock are prerequisites to fully enjoying this book. As an example: A lot of people care about stuff like how much weight Monica Lewinsky has lost and who wore what at some awards show. I am not one of these people. I am repulsed when I see some TV show talking about such things. I immediately change the channel and look for something better. Same thing applies for those who don't care for the Rock and wrestling industy. They will simply become disinterested, put the book down and look for something better. I enjoyed the book. That's why I gave it four stars. The Rock discussed his life and the wrestling industry. That's what I expected and that's what I got. I haven't read Mick Foley's book. A lot of people read that book first and then this one. I think this progression might have influenced their ratings for this book.

Summary: Good but disapointing
Review: This is an ok book, however it is in no way even almost as good as foleys book. The Rock does not really have a great story to tell. He didnt have to go threw many hardships before becoming a superstar. He was greatly aided by family members and friends who were close to the busiess. THE ROCK WAS GIVEN HIS OPPORTUNITY IN THE WWF BECAUSE OF HISCONNECTIONS. However it was his talent and charisma that brought him to superstardom. Maybe if Rock would have waited five or ten years from know then he would of had a more interesting story to tell. His pre-wrestling life was interesting especially his time in the CFL. However he seemed a little bit too arrogant with his stories about his younger life. There are no good locker room stories or inside dirt on any other wrestlers like in foleys book. It would have been great if the Rock woud of saved his arrogance for this part of the story and not chickened out. I would have loved to find out how the Rock really felt about some of the other superstars. The Rock was too afraid to mention names. Foley told everything like it really was and didnt hold back. I wanted to hear about the wrestling business from the inside, the Rock only touches on these type of things. The best thing about the book is that the Rock goes deeper into the chereography of a match then foley does. It was interesting to hear how he and his opponents planned a match. Overall the book was ok but it is junk compared to Cactus' book. I really wish that the Rock had waited a few years before doing a book. Also it would of helped it he had a backbone. Whats the point of writing the book if he was not going to be honest. Its hard for me to recommend this book when I know that the Rock held back and his story is not really complete. For hardcore wrestling fans only.
