Summary: Gimme something I don't already know
Review: The Rock says......nothing that I haven't already read in a quadrillion (don't know if that is a real number, but you get the idea)other places. The WWF prides itself on dishing the dirt, but the Rock had few revelations. The guy's not old enough to be very interesting, but I was hoping for some behind the scenes happenings. Some of the chapters ramble instead of rumble, and the writing style is more like a stream of consciousness. The sad thing is, I watch wrestling and the Rock's Dad was one of my favorites. Maybe if the Rock would have written more of his father and the olden days, there would have been something to read about. I prefer Hulk Hogan vs. Roddy Piper, but then, I am just a rambling accountant.....

Summary: Better off with Mankind's
Review: This book spent more time on his football career than on his wrestling one. It comes off as a book written by an arrogant guy and you can tell little if not none of it was actually written by The Rock. They try to do this thing where he has a voice for The Rock and a voice for Dwayne Johnson (his real name) and it doesn't work and makes the book an annoying read. Costs as much as Mankind's which is better and like twice as long.

Summary: He is great
Review: I think the people who made brutal comment are either ECW/WCW/fellow WWF wrestlers.I read most of Rock reviews I could tell a lot about his critics. People with no emotions or shallow wit could be that disturbed of his year of exprience as a professional wrestler compared with Mick Foley when is at of top of his career. The rock is really promising and still as lot more to say judging by his greatness. The book was out because millions of people wants to know about him as well as the Mick Foley. IT GREAT YOU LOVE BOTH

Summary: It was great but...
Review: It was a very great book! But he talks about his wife too much. I love him and I respect his wife, but it gets me mad because I wish I was in Dany's shoes. But other than that is was great, it's nice to know how he feels about everything.

Summary: IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT I THINK
Review: This book was much better than I expected. It was no mick foley, but it was still ok. The parts written in 3rd person were silly and strictly for marks but the actual bio parts were interesting. Who knows how much Johnson actually wrote though? Also it glosses over too much background (especially Memphis). Johnson obviously got a LOT of breaks because of his connections, but he has produced great results when given the ball.

Summary: The Rock- One Great Role Model
Review: The Rock Says is the most electrifying book I have ever read. It described the life of Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock. The book described the struggles he went through at Miami, and how hard it was to give up his dream. It also described his pro wrestling training and how much hard work and dedication it took. One does not become the most electrifying man in sports-entertainment over night. It took months of training for The Rock to even get a Try out. This book shows that The Rock is a mentally strong. The Rock could have giving up and become a nobody, But he work hard and became the most popular wrestler ever. This book makes me think of the dreams I have and that I shouldn't give up even if I run into a few problems.

Summary: Rock's OK, though not always correct
Review: The Rock's book is okay. ...Those little stints where he turned on his "Rock character" was a little distracting and annoying...it detracted from the book more than it added. Overall, though, the book was okay and rather enjoyable and easy to read.

Summary: The Rock Has A Lot To Say, So Know Your Role, and Listen Up.
Review: Riding Mick Foley's wave of success, Dwayne Johnson, a.k.a. "The Rock" writes a fairly entertaining book. Partially written as Johnson and patially written as The Rock, the book seems to flow quite nicely and keeps you reading, because you never quite know who is going to "be speaking" in the next chapter. Albeit, the Rock had a lot more background storylines than Foley, so the wrestling portion doesn't really make a full blown appearance until after the first few chapter, which really helps the book out a lot. It is peppered with humor nicely, and the football anecdotes are entertaining. However, the best part of the book has to be the end, where The Rock talks about his Wrestlemania XV WWF Championship match with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Even the beginner wrestling fan has to enjoy reading about the loads of preparation that goes into their in-ring performances. I was completely intrigued by The Rock's candid "opening of the door" to meticulus, pain-staking preparation that goes into this entertainment spectacle. This book is an excellent read, and will definately keep you entertained. Know your role, shut your mouth, and read this book. Oh, and have a nice day!
