Summary: Gripping and a must read.
Review: Dis-spells a lot of the myths about Tony and the team. A fantastic, cant put down read about the behind-the-scenes Nascar we watch and love.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: great book
Review: Great book for all fans to read. Alot better then Rebel with a Cause which was a complete waste of time. stewart is honest and talks about just about every incident we've seen along with childhood and personal stories.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Something to read if your a Big #20 fan
Review: I thought that this book is "The Real" Tony. Describing how "humble" his beginnings was is very refreshing to read. After reading this, makes me even a bigger Tony fan as you get to know him as a person and not as a bratty race car driver. I highly recommend anyone who is a real Tony fan to read this. Reading about all of the names in sprints (Stan Fox, Rich Vogler,),silver crown, his rough tenure in IRL, and finally his rise in NASCAR it is a great history lesson.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent book with true insight into Tony Stewart
Review: Once I picked this book up, it was hard to put down. If you ever wondered what makes Tony Stewart tick, this book has the answer. Like many NASCAR fans, I liked Tony Stewart for his competitive nature and desire, but I did not know much about who he really is.

Wanna know why he gets mad? This book tells you. Wanna know why he runs all those "silly" dirt track races? This book tells you. Did you know that giving up the 2002 Indy 500 was probably one of the biggest sacrifices Tony ever made? You'll find out why. Tony will tell you in his own words why he does what he does. You'll also get a lot of insight into Tony through comments and statements made by friends and competitors that are inset into Tony's text throughout the book.

If you are a race fan of any kind (please trust me on this!), or just a person who enjoys a gripping autobiography, this book is for you. It is NOT just for NASCAR fans.

The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars is that the writing seems a bit condescending and stilted at times. But don't let that stop you from buy and reading this tremendously enjoyable book!

Summary: True Speed
Review: The biography True Speed is about Tony Stewart and his road to bemoming a pre nascar driver. The Idea of the book is to tell you how Tony made it and what he went through to get there. The book talks about his life and about when he was younger and racing other cars to lead up to nascar.
The book really goes into detail about about Tony's like nascar and what he did before he drove nascar. The book also talks about races he won when he was racing those other vehicles and championships as well as how Tony was offered his nascar chance and how and why he took it. The book goes into detail about when he got offered and by who.
The book also talks bout what happened when Tony took the offer and what happens during his career and the races he won and lost. It talks about what happens when his attitude gets out of hand and is very detailed.
The book talks about what happened when Tony got into a verbal argument with an official and got fined.
The book is very detailed in talking about how Tony go his start and how he got into racing and how he was into it since he was a little kid racing go karts. The book was very gook in talking about what happened in Tony's life and when and where and how it happened. This book accuratly talked about every aspect of Tony's life and his career.
The book was actually a really gook book and a great book to read because it gives every little tiny detail on every liitle aspect of his career. This book would be a great book to read if you are a nascar fan. The book is just full of facts on Tony's life and his career.
Overall I would say that this book was a great boook and is a very well written novel and is great if you want to learn everything about Tony's life and career and what happened when he lost. The book also talks to his bosses and his teamates and got everybody's oopinion.
The book goes over every time Tony was mad, sad, happy, or depresed. IT talks about every little fight and every little aspect of all the races that Tony won and lost. The book is just great it has alot of action excitement. From the fights to the races to fines. The book is overall good book to read because it is enjoyable.
If I had to rate this book on a scale from one to ten I would give it a nine because it is very enjoyable and exciting. This book is very detailed and very very accurate to what happened in his life. I would recomend this book to any body who asked, just because it was that good. So I would say read it to anyone.

Summary: WOW!! I love Tony even more now!!
Review: This book is great!! I would recommend this book to any Nascar fan, not just those who love Tony!! When I began reading this book--I absolutely could not put it down! Read the entire book in just one night. It is definitely a true look inside the life and heart of Tony Stewart. The first few chapters are a little hard to follow as he leads you through his start in racing but as you read on into the book and start hearing of all of his adventures in racing and with the media, you are just dying to know more. I just hope that Tony doesn't let it end here, I am sure that there will be more excitement in his life in the next few years and maybe he will write "True Speed 2--A story of a Winston Cup Champion"!! I would recommend this book to everyone and want to wish Tony (if he happens to read this review)----GOOD LUCK IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP Race in 2002!

Summary: Excellent book with true insight into Tony Stewart
Review: This book must be one of the best bio's I've ever read. Anyone who follows Nascar should read this and they will understand exactly why Tony is who he is. I hope he never changes! Tony does so much for his fans, including spending hours and hours signing autographs.

Summary: Honest, Genuine and Easy-Going...No air-brush here, Folks!
Review: This book truly reflects Tony Stewart. I was expecting a brash, four-letter word filled, "racy" tale (pun intended!). I was expecting a slick, glossy commercial and carefully edited "seller". Well, there was no air-brushing here, folks! This book has brain and heart. While describing, in racing detail, the road to his success, Tony Stewart and significant others personalize and reflect upon their thoughtful reactions to the chronology. I was convinced of the honest, genuine, easy-going style of the book. All photos are in black and white giving a "scrapbook" feeling to the layout. Every fan of Tony's knows he describes himself as a driver, not the media darling image created around other "famous" drivers. In this book, you feel as if this driver is sitting on the back porch with you recounting for your ears only. This book is convincing that Tony's choice not to join the "cookie-cutter commercialism" of media Nascar Star just doesn't fit his style or personality. At the age of 30, Tony Stewart has already made his mark in just about every vehicle with wheels. Reading this account explains to every fan Tony's blunt honesty is the real deal! The book cover design is a hint to the unsophisticated, honest portrait of a Nascar Champion in the making. The story the way it actually happened not the way the money-makers want to feed it to you! This is indeed "True Speed"..no gimmicks....
