Rating: Summary: Excellent, well written good read. Review: This book was one of the best I have read in a long time. The reader is really able to feel themselves in the story and sympathize with the author. As a skater myself I was able to identify with the book greatly. A well written whole hearted account of the story and made me laugh and cry out loud.
Rating: Summary: hockey Review: This is the best book I've read in a long time about a hockey player. I could some what compair to him, bacause I play hockey not in boston but Minnesota. I played a team that very well coached and in showed when we went to state for class A. But before that in the playoffs, I went into the boards at full speed when the player from the other team tripped me. I didn't get serious hurt, but I though of my friend when he went into the boards and had back problems so he couldn't play hockey again. Thats what I felt when I went into the boards, but thankfull that I didn't get seriously hurt like Travis did.
Rating: Summary: You are Amazing Travis Review: This story is great for the hockey children of America and all over the world. I myself am a Bantom "A" hockey player and would have loved to be playing in that game that he was. I also made a list of the my ten gaols as Travis did and I am half way there. I have met Travis' cousins' Patrick and Brendon Collins and their mother who are great people and by judgment that Travis is an amazing guy too.

Rating: Summary: thanks travis Review: travis. if yur out there reading this review, i want to thank u travis for writing this book. your words have helped clear up some life questions i had. there still are so many questions without answers... why people we love pass away, why things happen to us, why relationships fall apart, and others grow... those types of questions and many others are alway so hard to comprehend. yur voice speaks to me as a friend like ive always known before. it makes yur story not just some newspaper article but it puts us the reader right in there on the action of whats going on. your mind and yur heart come alive. it must run in yur family to be able to communicate so well! :) i'm anxious for a cure soon and cant wait to hear about you walking again and bringing yur dreams into reality! pray! positivity! i know there is a cure in this lifetime! ps...yur book is a very tough book to read on a cross country airplane flight! i was almost in tears in front of a bunch of people!
Rating: Summary: amazing Review: You don't have to be a fan of the game of hockey to appreciate the captivating and touching human drama that plays out in the pages of this book. While hockey certainly is a central character in the story, Travis Roy's narrative is less of a sports-oriented piece than it is a tribute to his family and friends, and to the depths of human kindness. Roy writes in an intelligent and conversational style that offers insight into the struggles he has had to face since his injury, and the thoughts and questions that have run through his mind. His story is genuinely moving through its striking honesty and maturity. I highly recommend this book.
