Rating: Summary: A BIG ZERO! Review: An amazingly empty book. Just a few quotes we've all heard a thousand times before. I think Yogi was a wonderful player. But this lightweight book certainly isn't worth owning.
Rating: Summary: Great read! Review: Any Yankee fan will enjoy this book. Brought back wonderful memories of baseball outings to Yankee Stadium with my Dad. Priceless photographs!
Rating: Summary: I've yearned for a book like this for years, and here it is. Review: Even people who don't care for baseball love Yogi Berra and his way with words. For years I've hoped that someone would do a book like this one, and here it is at last. Not only does it collect and present the best comments of baseball's great philosopher -- it provides background and context for every Yogi-ism. Those who complain that the book has big type and lots of pictures just don't get the point. Sometimes there's a lot in a little book, and this is one of those books. Highly, and delightedly, recommended. -- Richard B. Bernstein, Adjunct Professor of Law, New York Law School
Rating: Summary: Short, but great! Review: Great book, everyone will enjoy the sayings of Yogi, even if you are not a sports fan.
Rating: Summary: Every Page is a laugh!! Review: I knew that Yogi was full of great sayings, and this book has them all! Not only does it tell you what Yogi said, but he explains the situation and the people involved. It's great reading, and there are insites on Yogi from his celebrity friends and family. You'll enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: A heart-warming look at an American legend Review: I laugh every time I open up The Yogi Book. It is the type of book that lends itself to a casual read--best read by flipping through the pages and enjoying the legendary quotes and amazing photographs. Yogi Berra is much more than a baseball legend, his quotes have become a part of the American culture. For that reason, this book is much more than just a baseball book--it's a humorous and endearing celebration of one of the most-quoted men in our history.
Rating: Summary: This is the only book you will ever need to read. Review: If this book doesn't make you smile, you have no heart. If it doesn't make you think, you have no brain. And if you don't buy it, you're really cheap.
Rating: Summary: Yogi's Best Review: Nobody is funnier than Yogi when it comes to stupid quotes. Although many of these quotes have been heard before, they are still funny. It's worth owning even if you don't like baseball.
Rating: Summary: The Yogi Book is a laugh-out-loud delight! Review: The photos took me back in time. I didn't expect to feel such nostalgia and at the same time laugh with the turn of each page. It makes a great gift!
Rating: Summary: Perfect Gift Review: There is no better gift for a devout Yankee fan. Ninety percent of the quotes you know, the other half you don't, to paraphrase Lawrence Peter Berra. The pictures are great. Yogi's comments and the perspectives he offers are hilarious. Buy it!!
