Summary: Wait a minute...
Review: Hey, why do all these reviews sound like they were written by THE SAME PERSON? And they're all 5 stars? I smell some dirty sweat socks around here, and they aren't mine (because I wear dress socks, clean ones, thank you). Looks like Mankind didn't stop writing when he finished his book. He went right on to write the reviews as well!

What a devious weenie.

No wonder he's on WWF.

Summary: The Best Book I have ever read!
Review: This has been the best book I have ever read! I have been a fan of Mick Foleys different personalties over the years. This book explains the ups and downs of Pro wrestling. There is'nt an easier way to say it but this man has seen hell and came back to tell about it. If your like me and not a fan of reading just pick this book up and you will have a hard time putting it down. Mick Foley is a god and this is his bible.

Summary: So Much For University Work
Review: Hate is a word I have always used when it came to reading. However, when Foley's book came out I had to have it. I live in Canada and it will not be released here until January I'm told so I had a friend buy it and bring it up to me. My mother showed up to my Univerity dorm with her boyfriend, the one who bought it for me, and I immediately began to read it. I had two chapters read before my mother could pry it out of my hands. I never have read a book that has made me consistently laugh. I once again love to read. Only one problem, I got the book in the middle of mid-terms. Thanks to a great bestselling author/wrestler, Mr. Foley

Summary: This Book has testicular fortitude
Review: This book has the testicular fortitude to tell it like it is. A must have for all true wrestling fans even if you don't like Mick Foley.

Summary: Destined for greatness!
Review: After watching, admiring, and emulating professional wrestlers for a good seven-eighths of my life, I know now what it truly takes to slap on the tights. Mick Foley is an excellent and hilarious storyteller who completely the embodies the adjective commonly preceding his line of work--professionalism. He re-lives his past in a frank and honest manner, always showing both sides of the curtain. From sleeping in the back of his car to winning the World Wrestling Federation Championship, Foley's is a story which was meant to be told, and destined to be read by his dozens (and dozens) of fans. This is a fully entertaining read for both wrestling fans and dreamers alike.

Summary: Insightful, honest, Mick Foley in his finest moment
Review: For every single person who has ever watched a wrestling show, for all those who profess their hate for sports entertainment, and for all those with no opinion either way, this is a must read. Mick Foley wins hearts over with his candor, with his wit, and with his shoot-style book. A masterpiece that keeps calling until you finish it, and then calling you back to see if what you think you read really was described in the pages. I am not afraid to say it, I, along with the rest of the dozens and dozens of his fans, love Mick Foley, best selling author and former 3 time WWF World Champion.

Summary: Humorous, insightful and full of thumbtacks
Review: Mankind: Have a Nice Day! gets behind the curtain to reveal the politics and planning behind running a wrestling show, as well as gets Mick Foley's thoughts behind his greatest career achievements. Mick Foley isn't a dumb musclehead like you might expect a pro wrestler to be. His plain-and-simple storytelling style allows his warm, yet mischievous, personality to shine through. He didn't use a ghostwriter because he wanted the creative license with the book whether it was a success or a failure. Combine that with a truly interesting and exciting life to talk about, and even people who don't know the difference between a wristlock and a wristwatch can appreciate this one man's life. The book begins with the grotesque story of his 1994 match in Germany with Vader for WCW where he lost half of his right ear. The best thing about this first chapter is that although the common reader would probably shy away from a story as violent as this one, Foley tells it in such a good-natured and funny way that it almost seems like it's just another day at the office. Mick Foley has met, in almost Forrest Gump-like fashion, many of the great past and present wrestlers in the business. Foley also eulogizes Owen Hart, who died in May while he was still in the process of writing, as well as his longtime friend Brian Hildebrand, who passed away recently of complications from cancer. Mankind: Have a Nice Day! is an entertaining read for fans and non-fans alike. Jim Ross put it best in the foreword, "I guess in some ways this is a love story. The story of one man's love of his life. A life worth living." If you want to judge a book by the cover, take a look at the back and see the injuries of Foley diagrammed in a clean, efficient way. If you want to judge the man by the book, I would say this is one hell of a book written by one hell of a man. ....

Summary: Great book from a down to earth yet somewhat off author!
Review: I didn't know what to expect when I began reading this book. I was hooked after the first chapter and couldn't put it down. I finished this book in three days and was left wanting more. I have a new found respect for Mr. Foley. He brings the reader along a wild ride of crashing chairs and ripping barbwire while at the same time showing his tender if not child like side. This is a book that leaves you feeling good inside. I recommend it to everyone!
