Rating: Summary: Highly recommended Review: It was great to see what humble beginnings the Hardy's came from and how they got where they are today. Also cool to see a glimpse of some of the inner workings of the wrestling world. A much happier book than the Amy Dumas story. These guys seem to be great role models. A really interesting fun read.
Rating: Summary: Exist 2 inspire is truely amazing Review: Lots of people think pro wrestling is just a bunch of losers faking what they do.I say, what do they know? Have they ever been thrown from the top of a latter? NO! Have they ever broken their necks? NO! The Hardy Boyz are a perfect example of the dedication it takes to become WWE superstar. THis book is awsome and for all you MFers(mattitude followers) and Jeff Hardy fans, this is a must have!!!! Even if you aren't, it's still a great, true and amazing story.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: The book was awesome if you haven't purchased it I recommend that you do, because it's just a really good book! :)
Rating: Summary: Good "New School" Wrestling book Review: The Hardy's book is a standout amongst the barrage of wrestling autobiographies. The Hardy Boyz relive stories from the new school era (aka after 1997) about themselves, others, and events that, us the reader, can remember watching ourselves. It was also shockingly not watered down by the WWF and made into a fluff book to promote themselves. It was an honest read and recommended for any wrestling fan looking for a fun read.
Rating: Summary: Priceless Review: The minute that I found out that Matt and Jeff Hardy were releasing an autobiography I became excited, as a mark ( a wrestling fan ) and as a smark ( a smart wrestling fan ). I am fifteen years old and I have been watching professional wrestling since I was three years old and of all the superstars that have passed through, all have had great stories, and few are able to tell them but I guarentee that this is a story worth hearing. Matt and Jeff grew up in a remote town in North Carolina, their mother died when they were just children and they were raised by their father. As they grew older, they developed a passion for wrestling and were determined to find away to follow their dreams. From the TWF to O.M.E.G.A to the WWE, this book tells of the trials and tribulations that these two brothers went through in order to achieve what they desired most - a job in the WWE. Whether is be Matt's relationship with Amy Dumas ( Lita ) or the rumors of why they were taken off televsion in late 2001, all the rumors are adressed and in between these covers is an amazing journey that these two brothers have experienced all before the age of thirty. Whether you are a wrestling fan, a closet wrestling fan or just an occasional reader, I guarentee you that in this book you will find not only that the fake world of professional wrestling is more real than you could ever imagine, but that you can achieve anything and that your options are limitless. It may have been a rocky road, but for Matt and Jeff Hardy, it was one worth walking.
Rating: Summary: an interesting wrestling book Review: This autobiography of the Hardy Boyz is different from other wrestling autobiographies in that this one is of two wrestlers instead of just one. Matt and Jeff Hardy are real life brothers and were a tag team in the WWE. Since this is of two men, rather than one, the format of the narrative changed. The best wrestling biographies (Mick Foley, Jerry Lawler) have gone into detail about the lives and careers of the wrestlers, but more so about the personal life. The lesser but entertaining biographies (Bobby Heenan, Hulk Hogan) were more episodic. There was no true narrative, but a series of short (one to two page) chapters dealing with a variety of subjects. Exist 2 Inspire falls into the second category. There is no true depth to the biography, but we are given the thoughts and opinions of the Hardys on various subjects and parts of their career. Since the Hardy Boyz are brothers and the co-subjects of this book, the format is somewhat unique. I believe the co-author (Michael Krugman) simply interviewed the brothers and organized their thoughts into separate sections. The format is that Matt and Jeff each get to speak on a subject. Sometimes it is back and forth between the two; sometimes it is just one paragraph by each brother. Occasionally only one brother speaks. It feels like actual conversation, which is a plus. The book deals with topics covering most of their lives. Considering that Jeff is only 25, that isn't a lot of time, but they have spent a decade in wrestling. The parts that I found the most interesting was when they first started wrestling and they started their own promotion. While it was never big enough to rival WWF or WCW (or even ECW), it was successful and always at least a little bit profitable. I was very interested in reading about this time, as it showed the work ethic and desire of the Hardys and also that they worked at the very beginning with wrestlers who would end up in the WWE as well. Shannon Moore (a Mattitude Follower) was a childhood friend of Jeff, and they also worked with Shane Helms (The Hurricane). The other part that I really appreciated was when they were training in the WWF development center: Dory Funk Jr's Dojo. This book did not seem to dig too deeply into the personal lives of the Hardys, but this was a very interesting and very entertaining book to read. I would recommend it to any fan of professional wrestling.
Rating: Summary: WELL WORTH THE 265 PAGES Review: THIS BOOK EXPLORES THE LIFE OF THE HARDY BOYZ, WHO ENJOYED SUCCESS IN THE WWE AS 6-TIME WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS AND SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIPS. I LOVED HOW THE BOOK ACTUALLY TOLD ME SOME THINGS ABOUT THE HARDYS' PAST THAT I DIDN'T KNOW. LIKE, HOW THEY STRUGGLED IN THE WWE SINCE 1994 AND HOW THEY FORMED THEIR OWN WRESTLING COMPANY, CALLED THE TWF. THIS IS A GOOD BOOK. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECCOMEND THIS BOOK FOR ANY PERSON OUT THERE THAT'S THINKING ABOUT GETTING INTO THE WRESTLING BUSINESS. TOO BAD THAT JEFF HARDY IS NO LONGER WITH THE WWE.
Rating: Summary: A must read for all Hardyz fans! Review: This book goes in depth about how the Boyz got their starts in pro wrestling. From ACW to OMEGA and so on, Matt and Jeff reminisce about their past and how they got their big breaks in the wrestling business. Part of it is written in interview form, and other chapters are normal book form. Definately get this book if you're a fan of Matt and Jeff.
Rating: Summary: Really Kool Review: This book is really a good bo for the hardy boyz fan. You lrean a lot about there child hood and there mother and wat they had to go through to get to the WWE. Matt explains some things about his relationship with Amy (aka Lita) in a way. And Jeff tell some things about his GF Beth. This book covers from when they were little till Mattitude V1 (matt) and Imag-i-nation (jeff) came out. This is a really good book for hardy boyz and maybe even lita fanz.
Rating: Summary: Well worth the wait. Review: This is a must have book for all Hardy fans. Even if you are not you will have a deep respect for them after reading this book. The Hardys truly helped break the size barrier in wrestling along with Sean Waltman and Rey MysterioJr. and this book makes you realize what a struggle it is to make an impact in the business.
