Summary: Driver #1
Review: Dale Jr's book, Driver #8 is AWESOME. It is written very well and makes the reader feel like they are there experiencing what he did. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. It is well worth it.

Summary: Excellent Reading for any age
Review: My 9 year old son asked for this book for Easter. He races karts and Little E is his favorite Nascar driver. We have the same paint scheme as the Bud car on the kart!! Easter was less than 1 month ago and he has already finished reading the book and loved everything about it. This is excellent in the eyes of a parent to have a child of this age read a book of this length in this period of time. He has learned alot about Earnhardt reading the book and has shared the information with us on many occasions. He has greatly enjoyed it and will be disappointed that he has reached the end and not have Driver #8 to read tomorrow!

Summary: Fresh & Honest Prospective on NASCAR
Review: This is a wonderful read for all NASCAR fans even if you are not a Dale Jr. fan. I was glad to find that Dale Jr. divulged emotions regarding the death of Dale Sr. appropriately and respectfully while conserving the privacy that he and all NASCAR drivers fight daily to preserve. As a twentysomething NASCAR fan I naturally related to his new millenium attitude and approach to the industry, his career, and often complicated issues such as media infringement, sponsor committments and unstable fans. Additionally, this book provides the reader with fantastic play by play descriptions of the races along the NASCAR circuit of his Rookie season with driver oriented explanations of various technical issues of the cars and tracks.
Overall, I rated this book 5 stars for its easy readability and attention keeping entertainment factor. By the end of this book you'll be ready to invite this guy over for a cold Bud!

Summary: Dale Jr.
Review: I did enjoy this book. At first I was beginning to not like Junion because of his huge ego, then he bought a kitten and I changed my mind a bit. Gives a different spin to Nascar, I still think Junior will have a hard time finding a woman that thinks he's half as hot as he thinks he is though.

Summary: Driver #8 Rocks!
Review: This was one of the best books I have ever read, and I read a lot. I could not put it down. This gives you a candid look, not only at the day to day dealings of NASCAR, but at Jr. himself. This is a definite must read for any NASCAR fan, even if you aren't a fan of Driver #8.

Summary: Must read for any Earnhardt fan!!!!
Review: Shows a side of nascar that most don't get to experience. I learned more about my favorite sport from reading this book than from watching races for 13 years. Junior tells it like it is, very upfront just like his driving style. You also get to experience the emotional side of JR. I have ordered a copy for my dad and husband who is in the military and overseas. An absolute must read for anyone who loves nascar or the Earnhardts. Trust me GET THIS BOOK!!!!

Summary: #8, you see into the life of race car driving
Review: I used to be one of those people who asked "Why is race car driving so exciting...all they do is drive around in circles"... well, I can tell you now that I am a HUGE Nascar fan. I began watching last season after seeing Dale Jr. I thought well hes cute. maybe there is something more to race car driving... boy did I find out. Then earlier this year I purchased this book and my eyes were open to the industry that goes along with all of this. Each track in different and the driver has to know how to drive on certain surfaces and with different tires and conditions. This book lead me to see that professional racing is as exciting as it gets and I thank Dale Jr for that. Now I just tell my friends to try it out, watch it once and you'll be hooked. Just like I was.

Summary: "This book rocks"
Review: Hi, My name is Michelle and I became a new NASCAR fan last year. This book is so good. I didn't know that much about NASCAR and now that I've read this book I feel like I know alot more. It makes you realize how down to earth Jr really is. I recommend this book to anyone who is a true NASCAR fan and even if your not, read it anyways. I could definetly read this book over and over again. I have to give big props to Jade he did an awesome job. Jr. Keep up the good work, keep racing hard and remember to always be safe out there. Thanks for listening, Michelle.

Summary: OUTSTANDING, A MUST READ FOR EARNHARDT FANS
Review: Not only is this book a must read for Earnhardt fans and nascar fans, but for anybody who doesn't know that much about Winston Cup Racing or the race drivers. This book gives an indepth insight into the daily life of a nascar driver. Dale,Jr. is an amazing person and race driver. I highly commend him for trying to show everybody(fellow race drivers, fans, friends and family), that he is his own person. In my opinion, Dale Jr. is emerging out from behind the shadow of his Daddy. Dale Jr. wants people to see him for who he is and what he has accomplished on his own. Dale Sr. was a great man, there will be nobody to take his place. I was a hugh fan of Dale Sr. But, people look at Dale Jr. and expect him to act and do like his Daddy would. In this book, Dale Jr. gives you an insight into, not only his racing career, but he also gives you an insight into part of his personal life. I loved reading this book so very much, and I recommend it to everybody. I am a hugh nascar fan, and Dale Sr. was my favorite driver . I am now a super hugh fan of Dale Jr. I never miss a race on T.V. After reading Dale Jr.'s book I'm an even bigger fan than before, if that's possible.
