Rating: Summary: The Most Electrifying Book...... Review: I was instructed at the end of Mick Foley's book that I should consult The Rock's book for further information on Royal Rumble 99. I found much more than that... For instance, his life wasn't as rosey as some would believe, and without the support of those around him who love him the most, he would have never made it.... I don't want to reveal anymore, so you HAVE TO buy the book. It's a great compliment to the previously released Mick Foley book... A great inside look into the life of a boy who became a man in the wrestling business....
Rating: Summary: No...No...No Review: This book is too bad for words, the people before me are either brainless marks or people who don't read many books. This book doesn't come close to mankinds book, for that matter it doesn't come close to Arn Andersons book. The only good parts are all in the first few chapters then it's a hard read. Buy this book if you like the Rock thats it.
Rating: Summary: The only reading pro wrestling fans will do this year! Review: This is just what society needs, another inspiration for mentally challenged cavemen who enjoy vicarious beatings and profanity. It's nice to see that some wrestling fans can actually read...
Rating: Summary: The Rock Stinks! and so does this book! Review: This book is the worst book I've ever read, written by the worst wrestler I've ever seen. Don't waste your money on this piece of garbage.
Rating: Summary: Can you smell it! Review: Now because I am one of the millions and millions and millions of Rocks fans, I would like to say that his book is the best damn autobiography that was ever written, if ya smell, what the hell, I'm cookin. I say that if you don't like the Brahma Bulls book then you should go out and find a book that you like, read it from cover to cover, then put it away. Later one when you get bored, I want you to go over, pick up the book, dust it off, turn it sideways and stick it directly up your candy..........
Rating: Summary: CINDYG"SAYS,THIS BOOK IS THE BOMB"ΓΏ Review: THIS BOOK WAS A GOOD WAY FOR THE PEOPLES CHAMPION TO LET US JABRONIES OUT HERE LEARN MORE ABOUT THE MOST ELECTRIFING MAN IN WWF.SO WHO CARES HOW LONG IT WAS OR IF HE WROTE IT HIMSELF, AT LEAST THERE WAS A BOOK FOR HIS FANS TO GET TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HIM.SO LIKE THE ROCK SAYS KNOW YOUR DAMN ROLE AND SHUT YOUR MOUTH !
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: I am an avid reader and also a writer...I really thought that this book would be somewhat of a joke. But this book IS one of THE best books have I have read in a long time. I could not put it down. Not only do you find out things about "The Rock," but you will also find out things about Dewayne Johnson. And the way the book goes into Dewayne and then into "The Rock" is just a great attention getter. RUN, don't walk, to get this book!
Rating: Summary: A Dynamic Story Review: I thought that Mick Foleys book was great, and I love the Rock. The two books are different, yet equally interesting. Even if your not a wrestling fan this is still an excellent book to read. You get the chance to see what life for the Rock was before the WWF,during the start of the WWF, and what changes have been made up until now. Buy the book you won't regret it.
Rating: Summary: bad Review: im a big fan of the great one but after reading the rock says it turns out to be not the great but the bad one . i'd hope that the rock says would be some what like mankinds have a nice day but it wasn't i think the rock should stick with wrestling and leave the books to people who could write
Rating: Summary: A great book in its own right Review: After reading Mick Foley's book, I have to say I was really excited to see what kind of effort The Rock would put forward. I was convinced that no one could top Mick's book. I then began to realize that Mick and Rock are totally different men with different experinces, so their books would be different. Knowing that, when I saw The Rock's book, I snatched it up, went home and read it cover to cover. Overall, I really enjoyed the book. I was impressed at how much of an insight the reader gets into the life of Dwayne Johnson. He was very honest and straightforward. I was very impressed at how he talks about the prejudices he has faced and how honestly he discusses his family. It was also very interesting to see how The Rock's character was developed at a young age, way before Dwayne ever knew he would become the most electrifying man in sports-entertainment. And the chapter on Owen Hart was touching and a fitting tribute. The one thing that I did not enjoy was the switch from Dwayne to the Rock, I found it annoying and I think it took away from the book. This book is a must have for any Rock fan and another good and different look into the wrestling business. If you read this book, you will really know what The Rock is cookin!
