Rating: Summary: The Rock Says Review: The Rock says is a candid look at the most popular sports entertainer in the world right now. I felt it was a well written and quite invigorating book. This book allows you to fully see that the lives of Professional Wrestlers are not as glamourous as originally imagined. It took this man alot of courage and heart to try and succeed in the industry that is at the height of popularity because of him. I applaud his book and acknowledge that he is and will forever be the peoples champion.
Rating: Summary: This book is great! Review: The Rock is pure genius! When my friend first said he had it I didn't know The Rock had a book so I accused him of lying. I went out and sure enough it was there, after i read it all I was amazed someone with so much role in the WWF would have time to write such a great book. This is a must read for all wrestling fans! Also be positive that you pick up Mick's book which is a great read too.
Rating: Summary: Who cares what the rock says? Review: Ok, I read the Foley book which was a great book, hands down. The first part of the rock says is decent, but the rest is the same old thing. I am a Rock fan but his book just came out to go against Mick Foley's book. Most of the book is the rock saying, Survivor Serries, I beat that rudy poo and won the belt. Who cares? The only reason The Rock is in wwf is because of his father. Foley missed his brothers wedding just so he could go to a match that he'd later find out got canceled. The Rock is a great wrestler but not a great writer. Buy have a nice day! It is a great book.

Rating: Summary: Readers--use your brain, not your obsession with The Rock Review: I am going to be honest, before reading "The Rock Says" I already had some doubts about this ghostwriter 'gimmick', because it's always more genuine when it's an true AUTObiography, not an autobiography with someone else writing/paraphrasing your words down. Even though it's somewhat not fair to compare the two books/personalities, Mic Foley wrote all of the 500-plus pages of his book and it certainly reflects a sense of authenticity.I know The Rock is loved by millions of fans, but all of you readers need to know what the difference between a good entertainer and a biographer is. There are enough of these "IF YOU SMELL..." and "ROODY POO" catch phrases on this review board that people who want to purchase the book don't really need to read seeing how they probably know them by heart already. It's a shame that as a WWF (and of course The Rock) fan myself, that some ignorant fans aren't able to see past this important difference. Just because The Rock is a great character, it doesn't mean that everything he does is great. You judge the book by its own merit. As for the book itself, I only wished this book would have come out later, in five years or so, because The Rock would have had more years of experience and also more stories to tell, and of course, the length could be greatly extended. It wouldn't hurt either if Mr.Johnson wrote the book himself.
Rating: Summary: Page turner Review: This book was hard to put down. It started off slow but picked up when he started to talk about himself. Great description of life thru college and afterwards in the WWF, also growing up in the wrestling family lifestyle.
