Rating: Summary: THis Book Is Good For Non Wrestling Fans Review: The Rock Says Is Not So Much Of A Good Book For Wrestling Fans. Not A Lot Of It Is About Wrestling. Mankinds Book Was More Interesting And Exciting Than This Book.
Rating: Summary: The Great One's Book is not that great! Review: I was excited about receiving The Rock's Book until I read it. Too bad The Great One couldn't have wrote it. The book appeared to be written way out of context. According to the book, he went to college. Wonder why they didn't teach him to write?
Rating: Summary: Whatever Review: Okay, you people say that The Great One is a phony, SHUT YOUR MOUTH! Yes, Mankind's was good, and so is this. And those of you who say that it's bad because he's in wrestling, DON'T READ THE BOOK OR WATCH WRESTLING! Don't ruin it for us Jabronis! Go back to reading your boring books and leave the millions and the millions of The Rock's fans alone to bask in the glory.
Rating: Summary: The Rock Says... Review: This book is good, well written in every aspec
Rating: Summary: Rock Rules! Review: This is simply the best book ever created!
Rating: Summary: Great book from the Great One Review: Heres my opinion, if you like the Rock, and want to know where he came from, this book is definatley for you. It was very intresting learning about his childhood and his years playing football for the Miami Hurricanes, then going on the be the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. I'm pretty sure that most readers will look at him in a better prespective after reading this great book.
Rating: Summary: know your damb role and shut your damb mouth Review: this book is amazing as mick foleys book. The Rock is The most electrifying man in sports entertainment today. And if your not down with that i got 2 words for you
Rating: Summary: Finally, we smell what the Rock is cookin'! Review: The Rock Says... was a great read, I bought it, raced home and didn't put it down. Dwayne's insight into the way wrestling, or should I say 'rasslin', used to be, was wonderfully described. I laughed when I realized that the Rock has been a part of Dwayne since he was a boy! I appreciated this book as not only a Rock fan, but also as a fan of 'D.J.', the person, and his dedication to his family, and what matters most. This throws the 'dumb jock' stereotype completely over the top rope. He also reminds us of lessons that critics of pro-wrestling so quickly forget. This is great for a fan of the Rock, but also for a fan of wrestling. Wonderful stories and funny insight into the world of the Adonis of the WWF. Thanks Dwayne, it was real and it was spectacular!
Rating: Summary: An Electrifying Read Review: I've been a wrestling fan most of my life, and as an adult, I've been fascinated with the behind-the-scenes aspect, the business part of it. I thought Mick Foley's "Have a Nice Day" was tremendous, and looked equally forward to this book. It's not as good as that work, but "The Rock Says. . ." is a decent book in its own right.Yes, I was disappointed that the Rock (Dwane Johnson) didn't write the book all by itself. I also didn't care for the sections that were esentially play-by-plays of various matches as seen through the Rock's (the character, not Dwane Johnson's) eyes. I was familar with those matches and they were mostly a distraction from the book. I would have also liked to have seen more about his interactions with current co-workers Mankind and HHH. But I'll review this book for what it is, not what it isn't. Dwane's story, the Rock's story . . . now that was entertaining. I was thoroughly engrossed, and couldn't put the book down. It was a quick read, but I really enjoyed his story, how he got to be "the most electrifying man in sports entertainment." It's great to see the man behind the character. It was also very cool seeing all the insights behind the scenes of pro wrestling. Dwane Johnson is an honest, compassionate, hard-working, and entertaining guy, and "The Rock Says. . ." is a very worthwhile read for anyone, wrestling fan or not.
Rating: Summary: His matches are better than his Stories! Review: I'm a Rock fan, but that's the only reason I feel even slightly favorable about this book. Don't really see any difference in it and most of the other ghostwritten sports autobiographies I've read--really, Johnson's too young and his experiences are too limited for him (or his ghostwriter) to be writing his memoirs. Also, the switch in character from Dwayne Johnson to The Rock makes things quite difficult for the reader. I wish I'd kept my $!
