Rating: Summary: AWESOME Review: People that write these bad reviews about the Rock are not cool. Keep reading your panzee romance and drama books. The Rock is the bomb and keep your bad comments to yourselves. The Rock writes the same way he speaks (Electrifying!)
Rating: Summary: Not fit for human viewing Review: This book is not fit to be read by anyone. If you feel you must purchase it, please keep it out of the hands of children. It is a shame that someone who is so visible to children has to publish a book full of foul language and degradation. I wish I didn't have to give it any stars at all!
Rating: Summary: the rock says know your role and buy the damn book Review: this book is focused meanly on the life and loves of the great one. And he throughs some comments about wrestling in just to entertain you.
Rating: Summary: the greatest book ever written Review: it is the best damn book ever
Rating: Summary: Stop you jabronies Review: The best book you'll ever read dag its goo
Rating: Summary: Before you buy this book chck out Mankind's Review: Though the Rock's book gives you details of his spectacular journey to the top Mankind provides a detailed look at what most have to deal with before making their rise to fame. Though Rock's book is entertaining and does a great job describing the way the Rock conquered the WWF. Mankind's gives you a deeper look into his personal life and how he became the greatest hardcore wrestler and WWF champion ever
Rating: Summary: Can you Smell the Rock? Review: For anyone of this age to think he has led enough of a life to write a book must be crazy. maybe I was just spoiled after reading Mick Foley's book but this one had me falling asleep 3 pages into it.
Rating: Summary: OBJECTIVITY RULES! Review: To all those who wish to criticize this book and to criticize the people who buy it let me say this. The rock's book is an honest biography about dwayne johnson's life. This book is not supposed to be an incredible piece of literature, if you want that then read Nabokov or Dostoyevski. This book talks about the rock, a wwf star and if you enjoy wrestling, then you will most likely enjoy this book. The rock is open and candid about his life experiences and the thing I think readers will enjoy is that after you read the book, you will see that success is different for everyone and that hard work and sacrifice is what it takes to achieve your goals. The rock struggled to find his calling and that is the point of the book, we have to find our calling and then succeed at what makes us happy. Wrestling for the wwf has brought economic success for the rock, but because he never gave up on himself even when he had hit "rock bottom", the rock proves that happiness is not just earning millions of dollars, but finding the strength within to continue struggling when it seems that everything is stacked up against you. I definetly recommend this book to all those who are interesting in the life story of a regular individul who caught some bad brakes early in his life, and then struggled to find success in his calling. Life gave Dwayne Johnson lemons, and the rock took them and made lemonade. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: The worst piece of Trailer Park Trash I ever read Review: It's a shame when you read this book to actually find out that The Rock was handed a career to him where as wrestlers such as Mick Foley had to earn his career. This book was written well, because it was not written by the rock. I was surprised when I started reading it that it had more than just the 5 or 6 catch phrases that the rock uses day in and day out....If you want to waste your money and some brain cells, be my guest and go get it, but otherwize, spend your money in a better way....This book deserves to be burned
Rating: Summary: Decent, but not as good as Foley's Review: This book turned out exactly how I thought it would turn out, decent. It is nowhere near Foley's book in terms of content, meaning the length as it is only about 300 pages, and humor as The Rock tries to make you laugh, but with Mick, it comes naturally. But, there was one saving grace about this book and that was the backstage look at WrestleMania 15. To read about him and Austin's strategy before the big main event was really cool in that you can see what goes through their minds before their match and for that I give it 3 stars.
