Review: AVOID THIS BOOK LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Ok if you're still reading this then I either got your
attention or you're a Rock fan wanting to slap me. Either
way I do hope you hear me out. Yes, the Rock is most
electrifying whatever in wrestling- however an author
he ain't. This book is very annoying for one simple reason-
Rock (and his ghostwriter) move in and out of charcter.
One chapter you can tell quite clearly that he's speaking
as himself and the next it's the Rock yelling at me like
it was Monday night. There is nothing compelling about
this book, unlike the rare good ones (Foley, Dynamite Kid,
Lou Thesz, Meltzer) and I came off thinking that Rock's ego
was bigger than I ever thought imaginable. If you are a
casual fan and have a few bucks to waste- go for it.
If you are a serious fan of wrestling, skip it or if you
must- borrow it from the library.

Summary: THE ROCK SAYS
Review: After deciding what book to read I chose to read a biography on Dwayne Johnson better know as "The Rock". I like to watch wrestling on TV and learn there most electrifying moves. I like to read biographies about famous people I've read about John F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. I thought it would fun to learn the life of a wrestler. Wrestlers are very educated people, the Rock attended Florida State University and played football 4 years of College until he got injured ending his football career. I hope I can learn about some more famous people and learn about their lives. After reviewing this book I enjoyed the way it was written but it could use some work on shorting the stories because they just drag on and repeats things. The diction in this book was easy for young people to read and is geared toward teenagers and preteens. The author uses words that are easy to understand and keeps the reader in suspense for most of the book. The author describes the book very well and uses a lot of adjectives that help make the book more interesting. The only cliché in this book that is over used is the quote "Do you smell what the Rock is cooking" the author could cut back on the use of this quote and use some more quotes that are different. The author does a good job of foreshadowing the Rocks life because he predicts where his career is going before he rises into stardom. When I first picked up this book I thought it was going to be the worst book ever until I started reading it. I hope everyone gets a chance to pick up this book and read it because it gives good life lessons and is interesting to read.
I recommend this book to anyone who has had to overcome obstacles in life and fight hard to get where they are now. This book reminded me of the movie Rudy because the Rock had to overcome a lot and never give up just like Rudy. I hope everyone believes that perseverance pays off and that to be the best you have to work hard and never give up.

Review: The Rock has done it again. He plays football, he wrestles, he acts, he writes his own scripts, what more can this man do? Write his autobiography, that's what. If you want to know what made the People's Champ into what he is today you have to read this book. From being born a third generation wrestler, (His grandfather, a legend, Peter Mavia. His, father another legend, Rocky Johnson.) from being bullied (Yes, evenn the Great One was bullied) from living in Canada with $7 in his pocket, to becoming the wrestler, Dwayne Johnson (his real name) his only wrestling gear: purple shorts and white boots. But soon, when he debued, he became the Rock. Here in this tell-all autobiography, the Rock reveals just what makes him tick. A must for any wrestling, Rock or auto-biographical fan. Hey, after reading this you may become a wrestling fan! If ya smell what Dwayne Johnson is cookin'!

Review: "The Rock Says" by the rock is a good book. I enjoyed reading it because it was funny and inspiring. The book also told how wrestling was in his family for generations. It also informed me how he became a wrestler. My favorite thing about the book is that it tells about his life outside the ring as well as in. Even though I read it 3 times I still want to read it again because it makes me feel like I am in the ring with him.

Review: "The rock say" By Dwayne Johnson was indeed a great book. It had a combination of many things that I like in book. It had a interesting story. It provided me with information and wrestling that I really wanted to know. For example I really wanted to know more about the rock and his family. In this book I learned about his father and grandfather who were both very good wrestlers. I learned about his mother and grandmother that both had to inure night after night there husbands injuries. I personally don't like that rock but the main reason I picked up this book is because I really wanted to learn about the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). In this book I learned about that. I also learned some things about the death of Owen Heart in an all new perspective.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes good long stories. You don't have to know wrestling well but I think you should some background info so that you do know some of the things talked about in this book. So in conclusion if you like good stories and/or wrestling pick this book up and you will not be disappointed.

Summary: No Mick Foley or Ted Dibiase
Review: If you want to be inspired, read "Every Man Has A Price" by Ted Dibiase. For behind the scenes info, "Have a Nice Day" by Foley is okay. Dibiase's book is the only one suitable for young readers. Many times, especially when Dewayne kayfabed, I didn't care what the Rock was cooking!

Summary: okay but my little cousin could have done better
Review: this really kicks off in the first chapter or 2 but after that it goes slightly downhill. the first chapter or 2 are told in a different manner to the others, it actually provokes emotion and is generally well written. as for the rest of the book.... i wonder what the rock learned in school because he certainly doesnt know many other words than ... and the like, especially the parts of the book written as 'the rock' in third person (of course) which are just stupid. "and the rock looks up at him like the ...sucking mother.. that he is" there isnt really much poimnt to this insane profanity and certainly doesnt make me any more fond of the rock. in fact i liked the rock a lot more before reading his book. dwayne johnson doesnt seem to come across as a very good person eithjer, at least not as much as foley...all in all if youre a fan of the business then you should read it but if youre an ardent rock fan, best preserve his holy status and give this one a miss

Review: The Rock, the most electrifying man in sports entertainment, should stick with acting. This seemed like something that a sixth grader wrote. I was expecting something like Mick Foley's book, but this was the complete opposite. He switches back between first and third person (aka "The Rock was backstage talking to... vs. I was really sad) He also describes his "best" matches word for ... word. He leaves out no moves Only get this if you are a WWF fan.

Review: This has got to be the most electrifying book i have read in ages , i am a huge rock fan but wasn't sure about buying it but i did and i am so glad i did this is a great insite into the wwf and everything that goes on behind the scenes it also describes most of his matches and it also gives us an insite into the life of one of the most entertaining men i know.He then describes his days in college as an american footballer and how it was short lived because of his injury so he decided to follow in the family tradition and that is to become a wwf superstar this then describes his bad days as rocky maivia head of the nation of domination and how everyone hated him and his good days as the peoples champ and six time wwf champion the rock i definently recomend this book to everyone who is a wwf fan the pictures are great and there are alot of funny parts. This book is a dedication to his mother the reason for this will be explained when you read the book as people would say he is a very humble person who puts his body on the line most nights to entertain us his charity work is amazing and i hope he does another book like Mick Foley i hope this is helpfull to you and i hope Dwayne gets to read this some time because he truly is the peoples champion

Review: rock has a very funny and suprisning life and it was time to write about it. when i was going on my plane trip to las vegas i stopped at the book store and picked this book up. it tells about how he became dwayne johnson to the rock. it has nice photos and stuff. BUY THIS BOOK TODAY!
