Summary: The Rock rocks bookstores
Review: In an age when professional wrestlers get more respect from mainstream media, it is nice to get an inside view of the business. This book, despite being done by a ghostwriter, is truly entertaining. Very few people have the charisma that Duane Johnson does and it shows. The book is very well written and digs deep into his childhood and backstage happenings in the pro wrestling world. This is a must read for all Rock fans.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must read for the millions and millions of The Rock's fans
Review: If you like The Rock at all, you will love this book. If you love The Rock, this book will be the best book you will ever read! If you are not one of The Rock's fans, reading this will make you one. Buy it, jabroni.

Summary: The best review since abbubs review
Review: This is a phonetically genius book. I have learned all the jargon of The Great One. I understand what a real trailer park piece of trash is.

Summary: Dwayne says...
Review: It's kind of hard not to compare this book to that of the Rock's contemporary, Mick Foley, so I will. Where Mick's book was warmly written and always entertaining, Rock's book can't help but feel self-serving and at times a bit cold. This I'm pretty sure comes from the fact it was ghost written by someone else with the Rock whereas Mick's book was written by him and him alone. "The Rock Says...", for all practical purposes is an entertaining book for fans of wrestling only. My girlfriend, who is not a huge fan of wrestling couldn't put Mick's book down. I tried getting her to read this one and she flat out refused. Those things aside, the main thing I liked about the book was reading about some of the old time wrestlers I grew up with through the eyes of someone who REALLY grew up with them. That was pretty cool. The parts of the book I really disliked were the sections written with the Rock in character. If I want to hear "roody-poo" every three sentences I'll watch the TV show. The bulk of the book shows Dwayne Johnson to be a sincere, yet somewhat egotistical guy. But when you're the Rock, I guess you've got a right to be a bit egotistical.

Summary: I Smell What the Rock is Cookin'!
Review: I am an attorney and a die-hard fan of the WWF, and I can safely say that this was a very enjoyable book, almost better than Mick Foley's "Have A Nice Day." It is very honest, and gives the reader a most intriguing perspective on the back-stage workings of professional wrestling. Although we all know that wrestling is a choreographed show, it would be odd to picture Duane Johnson (Rock) having a pleasant conversation with Steve Austin; however, Duane's recap of the events leading up to the big match with Austin at WrestleMania XV makes for very interesting reading.

On the negative side, several sections of the book are written from the perspective of the Rock rather than Duane Johnson. While this is mildly entertaining, it is no different than the smack-talking you here from the Rock on television every week. It would be far more interesting to here Duane Johnson's viewpoints than the Rock's.

All in all, though, a very nice book, and a much lighter read than Mick Foley's book (which is also very good).

Summary: The Rock Inspires
Review: "THE ROCK SAYS" is a fantastic read. This book is not just for wrestling fans. It is a story that is poignant, inspirational and gutsy. It is for the successful and the failures, because the Rock's message is, never give up, not your dreams, not your pride, not your beliefs, not your rights. The Rock has led a dynamic life, full of challenges. The book was short, but then The Rock is only 27 years old. I cannot wait until his next book.

Review: By FAR the best book ive ever read! After reading the book I now have a new found respect for The Rock. Through his life, hes gone through more tough times than you can imagine: from his injuries in college, to his Canadian Football days. Yet, he still becomes a WWF superstar. My recomendation, buy this book...if you smell...what the rock......is cooking!
