Rating: Summary: Couldn't put down Review: Of course, I am a big fan of Beckham and soccer itself, but the book is great for anyone to read. In the begininning when he talks about his childhood, I have to say I did get a bit confused at times. I also found it hard to keep track of all the names and people in the book, but it didn't keep me from understanding the story. Before reading this book, I even viewed Beckham as a model who can sometimes play football. And, you realize that what the media says about Beckham, whether about his marriage or whatever, isn't really true. I know have a greater respect for David Beckham, along with all the other great soccer players. I definetly reccomend this book to anyone who is a fan of soccer, whether you like Beckham or not.
Rating: Summary: fabulous! Review: This book is absolutely wonderful, it gives an in depth look at this extraordinary athlete, husband and father. I highly recommend this book to any fan of his or anyone that is simply intrigued by the allure this man has created around the world.
Rating: Summary: Great Summary of the world's best football player Review: This book provided great insight on Beckham (Good Luck in Spain!!)
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: This book was very interesting when it comes to details and anecdotes. It had a lot of information about Becks and that was what made this book fun to read. Despite how great the book is, it can be better. It can have more detail about a few things, such as Beck's role with his boss and less details on subjects such as lossing a match and how it felt. But other than that, it is a great book and I recomment this to everyone who knows Dave and is a fan of his.
Rating: Summary: Excellent autobiography even if you dont know soccer Review: This is a great book about David Beckham. I received it as a gift and what a fine gift. As an American, i dont know that much about soccer but i did find all the soccer stuff very interesting. He was very candid about his life including the death and kidnap threats toward him and his family that he constantly has to deal with. I found him to be an amazing , admirable person and someone whom God has given an incredible talent and athletic ability. This is a great gift for soccer fans, young and old and it is a great gift for anyone who loves autobiographies. I read the British version which is called My Side , hopefully its about the same as this American one.
Rating: Summary: GREAT Review: This is a great look at a great player. So much detail, Beckham goes deep into detail about his life. If you're a soccer fan this book is a must have
Rating: Summary: Beckham - both feet on the ground Review: This is a much better book than I expected. It is an easy and interesting read. I am almost ten years older than David Beckham, but I wanted to find out what he is really like (other than what is seen on the soccer field). He does a good job of telling his own story without blowing anything out of proportion. If you like soccer, this is a must read. Enjoy...

Rating: Summary: beckham demythologized Review: This is a must-read for true Beckham fans or any fan of Man United. Becks has long been adored by Man United fans and the book shows us why. Although the beginning started a little slow, the reader can learn a whole lot about the backgrounds that created the man Beckham as we see him now. Beckham's writing style can sometimes move in a direct address to the readers which some readers may find annoying. However, this just adds to an all-too-human portrait of the star himself. In this book, you will find out many things which are completely opposite of the British media depiction. Is this book a spin as a counter to the media? I doubt it. Rather, it peels away the myth surrounding Becks (and even Posh). If you are curious as to why Beckham chose Real Madrid, how he felt after the recent two World Cup exits, what playing inside Old Trafford is like and many other Beckham issues, this is the book to get.
Rating: Summary: The Best Review: This is the best book ever. I loved Becks now i even love him more. The best book ever. Buy it.
