Rating: Summary: doggone good book Review: Geoff Hansen's extended photo essay on his pet beagle, Lucy, is filled with warmth and good humor. Made in the best tradition of William Wegman's Man Ray photos and the subtle canine comedy of Elliot Erwitt, this is a must-have for all lovers of dogs and of pet photography.

Rating: Summary: Too Cute! Review: I read a review in our local paper and bought this book for my husband as a stocking stuffer. I fell in love with it! We have a beagle mix and she makes some of the faces Lucy makes, but we could never be quick enough with our camera. This a keepsake for all dog owners. I look at it over and over and it's a real "feel good book". It's also a great, simple childrens' book. Great idea, great photgraphy.

Rating: Summary: Thanks for stopping by to check out "My Life As a Dog." Review: With its 45 black and white photos and narrative, the book shows the simple pleasures of a dog's life. Lucy -- who's our family beagle -- spars, plays, mopes, begs, sleeps, explores and even flirts with a Japanese tourist. As William Wegman says about the book, "It is clear from his photographs that Hansen loves his dog Lucy...and so does his camera." I couldn't have said it any better.
