Summary: One great book, but,
Review: One great book! Nestor teaches the basics, and then some more advanced moves. He gives a history of the art, music, dances, and movements. Great for the beginer. But if your not very fit, you will be able to do most of the moves.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best Book on Capoeira
Review: The Little Capoeira Book is one of the best books to be ever written on capoeira. Everything from the history, music and movements of capoeira. Highly Recommended.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Nice "little capoeira book"
Review: The only capoeira book with some descriptions and pictures of the moves. I give 4 stars only because there really needs to be a "big capoeira book" with descriptions and pictures of many more techniques.

Summary: Every capoeirista should own it.
Review: This book could almost serve as "the manual" for first year capoeira students. I only recently began training and it has been very helpful to me in my understanding of capoeira and the culture from which it developed. Brazilian culture is so much a part of what capoeira is all about that you can't separate the two. So for a gringo who has never been to Brazil it is important to learn as much about the culture as you can. I was also fortunate enough to meet the author recently and get him to autograph my copy. His words of wisdom help me get through some of my more difficult training sessions.

Summary: The Little Capoeira Book: the bible for beginners
Review: This book is an extremely useful source on finding information on capoeira, and is very useful for beginners and/or self-teachers such as myself and my friends. Half of it deals with the roots and philosophy of capoeira, from the music to the history. The other half shows how to do moves and good exercies to help get them down good. If you someday hope to be a capoeirista, but don't have anyplace to learn it get this book, it's useful.

Summary: Informative and Easy to Read
Review: This book was is very informative for those of us who are not fortunate enough to have a local mestre. Nestor Capoeira (in my opinion) did a very fine job on formating his text. I strongly recommend this to whomever saw ONLY THE STRONG and wants to discover more about the beautiful art of Capoeira. Oh and don't hesitate to look up all of the Capoeira web-sites on the internet!
