Summary: Time better spent on a better book
Review: I must concur with the majority of reviewers. The book has an interesting premise, but enormous logical flaws, and often characters behaving in ways that seem "out of character".

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not very good science fiction
Review: The plot was not very interesting. The aliens even less interesting. The ending was a disappointment.

Summary: Not worth reading
Review: The worst thing with this book is the total lack of imagination shown in the way the future is described. It is kind of - take 1992, add 40 years to the clock, some space flight and ... nothing else. The way the political and technological progress has been freezed for 40 years is amazing. Why would someone call a book like tnis SF?

Apart from that the plot is rather boring. I considered giving up on the book more than omce but having nothing better at hand I finished it anyway.

Summary: Not very good science fiction
Review: This seemed to have great promise; the face, pyramids, exploration but it all fell apart shortly into the story and turned into the typical government intervention and conspiracy book, with Mars as the minor story line...disappointing.
