Review: anne mccaffrey is a master in her field, and this is her best series. two-for-one deals on the pern books can't be beat.

Review: If you like a world where people are honest and you can talk to dragons this book is for you. Ms. McCaffery takes you on dragon wings through killer rain, dragon hatchings and rediscovery of technologies. I love this and all the "Pern" books

Summary: Hard to follow
Review: This is the first fantasy style book that I tried reading. I got about half way through the first one, when I realized that I had no idea what they were talking about, and I didn't care.

If you can find another book that can explain the infrastructure and environment of this world of Pern, it may be a lot easier to follow.
