Maia's Veil: The Cloudships of Orion

Summary: Highly underestimated excellent sci-fi series!
Review: Part 2 of 'the cloudship' series is, like all three of them are, an excellent book. McAllister makes her main character explore the depth of his emotions, his ambitions, his loyalties. She does so in a very, very appealing way that makes this whole series not only something completely different (the idea of mining space gallees in rich resourced nebula's is very original), it also makes this series a very human endeavour.
