Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Interesting, but not really useful.
Review: This book is interesting because it covers topics from fitness, to self-defense, to rope and wall climbing.

The self-defense recommendations are sometimes bizarre and dangerous however. An example of this is a punch where one bends forward 90 degrees at the waist and extends the arm straight out - making the body into a giant 90 degree angle. This particular move is biomechanically and tactically dangerous in real self-defense - and there are others like it.

I don't care what a person's credentials are - there is a lot of stuff taught to armed forces all over the world.

The book has some interest, it just isn't good for what it's intended.
