Summary: A very romantic story
Review: fushigi Yugi is like the second romantic story I have ever read, in this vol. it talks and shows how tamahome really missed miaka and how their relationship really gets closer, I mean once you get to the part where tamahome tells her he loves her your hair will stand straight and your socks will fly off your feet. this vol. is like the begining of the reall adventure for searching for the celestial warriors, it has a lot of cute parts and really funny ones at that, and there are sad parts to it that can really get to your heart, I recommend this book for people who are really into Fushigi yuugi and do not care about spoilers.

Summary: YAY!!!!! FUSHIGI YUGI!!!!!!
Review: I have read the first 6 books so far and I love this one the most. trust me this is something you want to read. I'm only 13 but i've seen reveiws from people who are like 40 or something. anyways i think the best part was when yui's secret was reveled and how tragic it was to see what happened to miaka and yui. but i also liked the part where tamahome tells Miaka his true feelings for her. seeya!

Summary: A must-read for manga fans!
Review: If you are a manga lover and have not checked out Fushigi Yuugi yet, let me recommend it. I am writing this review for book 3, but I am giving an over-all recommendation for the entire series. Maybe it doesn't have an American T.V. show yet (I stress yet because I dare to dream) but it is one of the best mangas I have read.

In this novel, more of the characters are introduced as the heroine (Miaka) searches for her "bodyguards" who will help her make a wish. Major plot twist occur (that I don't want to spoil) as she tries to stay alive in ancient China! I have totally just simplified the plot, and looking back, I didn't do it justice, but I swear that I don't want to spoil any of the story. Maybe I'm just strange, but I totally fell in love with this series and the characters in it (esp. Tamahome), and this book definitely met my expectations. Now all I have to ask is when will the next volume come out?

If you're looking for technical stuff, I would recommend that you get the first two volumes first, otherwise it'll be confusing. And, if you wonder about this kind of stuff, there is romance and a little harmless flesh shown. I wasn't offended, but I don't know about others. I recommend this series whole-heartedly, but I am admittedly biased. :) Enjoy!

Who well, Ill give hints: Kawaii, adorable, funny, mask, scar. . .CHiCHiri! Miaka hears a valuable lesson from him, and ventures off to find her friend Yui. At First Yui is happy to see her(i mean yeah its been 3 months) but she betrays miaka, and says that miaka has betrayed her! But what happened to yui to make her so mad and angry? Summary: aah the old days
Review: Mann...this was my very first manga. Without this i would never have been into anime or manga. Actually Animerica Extra was my first actual manga preview of Fushigi Yugi. All thanks to my uncle Goku. Really that is his name. Meaning 5th son. But weird part is my grandparents only had 3 boys in the family out of 7. So maybe he was the fifth child born? But Fushigi Yugi is a wonderful book to start if you are just starting to like manga. It is perfect. It has fantasy creatures, humans with either super powers or just super human abilities, revengeful people, and a forbidden romance that could and should never be, but is. But all in all this is a perfect book by Yu Watase. Her best work ever besides Alice 19th and the forever gorgeous book ZETTAI KARESHI!....that is all...

Summary: My favorite in the series so far.
Review: Some good news to fans- a new celeestial warrior appears, Chichiri. He trained under the watchful eye of Tai-Yi Jun { I can just imagine spending three years with her... that face
-_-}. And because of that, he learned some cool moves like how to freeze people {no da! ^-^}.

And a turning-point character shows up- Yui, Miaka's best friend. She has a thing for the celestial warrior Tamahome.

In the previous book, Yui goes missing, so Miaka goes back through the Universe of the Four Gods so Miaka could find Yui. She goes to the kingdom Qu- Dong, where she believes Yui might be, followed closely by Tamahome. The good news is Miaka finds Yui. At first Yui wants yo go back to Hong Nan with Miaka and Tamahome, but a conversation they have makes her want to reconsider.

Wanna read the bad news? I'm not telling you anymore than this.

Highly Recommended.

Summary: the begining of an awesome story
Review: Vol.3 is like the best out of 1 and 2 it has like romantic parts to it with tamahome and miaka that will make your hair stand up, in the begining it introduces chihiri but they do not mention his name only "the cat guy" thne they introduce tamahomes father and family really cute, but that is when the fun starts, his family gets under attack trying to kill miaka, and miaka thinks it is all her fault so she leaves and almost gets eaten by a tiger so tamahome comes to the rescue and there she tells him to leave her alone and he is in shock and like hugs her from behind!!really tight! really cute and then she meets yui and there miaka gets kidnapped and so tamahome comes to the rescue again, and off course them by themselves, tama tells her why did she run off? and then you see yui in shock, and there the story gets even better, so I recommend that you buy this vol. really good!!

Summary: Manga that's definately worth a look
Review: Wow. If you don't have this manga, then there's something wrong with you! Whether or not you're a fan of the Tv series, Fushigi Yugi is a must have for the anime fan. Yu Watase knows how exactly to blend comedy with drama, so you can have emotional trama and kick [butt]fighting, turning into a laugh-a-minute when one of the charactes does something stupid. I particularily like the "Fushigi Auki, The Malicious Play" parodies done by the author every so often, taking a section of one of the chapters and turning it into a farce. GET THIS MANGA it is well worth your dollars.

Summary: A Very Kirei & Kawaii Story
Review: Yuu Watase is one of the best of manga artists that I've read. Her work of art is incredible and her storyline amazes me. Being an anime/manga fan for the past ten years, Fushigi Yuugi is one of my most favorite and treasured manga.

Volume 3 takes place right after Miaka just returns to Ancient China inside the mysterious book that began her journey and is grabbed from behind. Yui has disappeared into the book and Miaka is determined to find her before war breaks out between Kutou and Konan (I'm using the Japanese names 'cause I forgot the Chinese equivalent for Kutou, sumimasen). When she finds Yui she is shocked that her best friend has become her rival, the Seiryuu no Miko (Priestess of Seiryuu). She loses her friend, but is determined to get her back dispite how Yui treats her. Also if you're a Tamahome w/ Miaka fan, you'll probably like this book.

It's strange, they've all ready published the fourth book with a Tasuki, Nuriko, & Tamahome cover, but they're republishing it again with the cover that Flower Comic's Publish did. I own the fourth book and wanted to write a review for it (and especially for all those Fushigi Yuugi fans who are dying to know what happens next and doesn't have the fourth book). I've decided to add a little in here if you want to know.

In volume 4. Miaka sets out on her journey to find the rest of the constellations of Suzaku. In her quest she falls prisoner to a mountain fortress of bandits and ends up in a plague-cursed village where she literally has to die to survive. Also my most favorite of all anime guys appear in this book. His name's Tasuki. He's also the most best looking of them all. Enjoy Fushigi Yuugi.
