Summary: A Tangent to science fiction as you may know it
Review: This is the first work from Ferrell, and while young as an author he clearly speaks and writes with the authority of someone who has a long standing intimate relationship with technology.

The storyline shifts (if quantum stories don't shift, something's wrong with your fields :) ) and is interesting to follow. The loops and flows aren't clearly delineated; this isn't Pulp Fiction that you're reading, and that only adds to drawing the reader in to the world of the story's inhabitants. To carry the confusion or apprehension of a character out into userspace is impressive, and feels kinda weird at the same time. It's a good effect, all told, and a shame more authors don't or can't do this.

Ferrell has built the characters as clearly as anyone could hope for. All facets of persona are captured, quirks, habits, speech, presentation are all unique with each character contributing well to the design and (quantum!) flow of the story.

Definately worth picking up. Be advised, once you get into it, it's hard to put down.
