Rating: Summary: Perfect Science Fiction Review: An enthralling book that I've read many times. My copy, too, is falling apart although I still have all of the pages.Easton Press prints high-quality leather-bound books and has done science fiction too. This book is my candidate for them. We should all request them to include it.
Rating: Summary: Earth Shattering Review: I first read these books about 10 years ago, when I found them in a used bookstore. If you like science fiction, treat yourself and read these books. They are amoung the best sci-fi I have ever read (and re-read).
Rating: Summary: Cities in Flight Review: I think I have the Trilogy of Cities in Flight. I have re-read it at least 3 times and still consider it one of the top ten Science Fiction books of all time. I rank it at least equal to the Foundation Series if not greater in execution of the advancement speicies, including the experience of the end of time!
Rating: Summary: Cities in Flight Review: It's over 30 years since I have read the "Cities" series, originally 4 novels, and it has not lost any of my pleasant memories. James Blish created a masterpiece which has not been tarnished in anyway, true technology has advanced, this is still plausable. As a author I rate him along the big names of Science Fiction such as Assimov, Heinlien, E E Smith and many overs. If you have nothing to do one day and it is raining outside then pass a few hours away reading Cities in Flight. You will not be disapointed, it's a very relaxing read worthy of space on any bookshelf. Should this ever happen, then all I have to say is "I want on".
Rating: Summary: Wow Review: Yes, this was written many years ago and as such some of the details would be different if written today--big deal. Like much greate science fiction this is a novel of people and ideas and in many ways, still as relevant today as it was then. Still a great read if you love science fiction.
