Summary: Faith: a Fable
Review: "We aren't here to judge each other...All of us have to decide for ourselves which way our lives will go. . ." A very worthwhile read--with excellent illustrations. . . The author does a remarkable job of telling the story in both words and pictures. "Faith: a Fable" is a book that would appeal to many audiences. As a former teacher, I think this creative format may be a way for teachers to attract those reluctant young adult readers. While the story could stand on its own, the comic narratives add dimension that makes this one stand out-- I'll be watching for this author's next book.

Summary: a unique surprise
Review: I was delightfully surprised with this "book". While I'm not a real fan of traditional comic-books, this is a horse of a different sweatpad. An intriguing tale of a young lass and the end of innocence, with a positive spin on the strength it takes to move through this modern world of many options and no maps. Uplifting and thought provoking, this meld of art and narrative breaks new ground in storytelling.

Summary: A compellingly drawn, highly recommended graphic novel
Review: Lori Branyan is a twelve-year-old girl in whose presence insecure people feel secure, the cynical feel optimism, those who have lost hope feel a renewed sense of purpose. As this phenomenon attracts the attention of the media, the lives of all she meets are deeply changed -- some for the better, and some not. Faith: A Fable is a superbly written, compellingly drawn, highly recommended graphic novel told from the perspective of a local reporter and underscores how belief in one's self, having faith in the choices we make, affects the people around us -- and goes on to ripple outward affecting the people that are around them, and on, and on, and on.
